Hi Dakka

I'm planning on modelling an Ork Looted Wagon, either for fun or to use as a Gun Wagon in matched play.

Would like to hear what tanks others have used for their wagons.

Or any other wild Looting stories you may have!

The rules aren't too exciting, but they're certainly a great modelling project. I did one years ago (before the battlewagon kit arrived), using a Land Raider minus its doors and roof.

I have a few ideas in the planning and bit collecting stages. I recently bought some rhino treads and the gunwagon body from ebay. Stick them together and see how it looks. I'm also trying to figure out how to convert the servo hauler into some grot tanks.

It's a bit big, but I also have this.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

That tank is nuts! Great job. Keep us posted on the Grot tanks. Been looking at some images on Google to get some ideas.

The Land Raider would be similar size to the battle wagon.

I have a Rhino and Wave Serpent kicking around. Might look at hacking them up and attacking Kill Kannon turret from the Battle Wagon Kit.

I also like the Taurox model but not sure it'll be big enough for the base. Seems more Trukk sized but wondering if it could be beefed out a bit.

In your thread, trolling.

I have a Leman Russ Battle tank, the only noticeable difference is the Grot sticking his head out the top hatch.

the great thing with orks is almost anything goes. You could take almost anything and turn it orky.
I've seen a stompa based on a Mr Potato Head here before and it was superb!

Now I'm thinking why just take a tank and stick an ork in it ? (this from a guy with a totally standard leman Russ with an ork boy in the turret, and another... Different Russ-based thing... In his collection) Anyway I'm thinking what about a hover-craft or a walker or one of those freaky giant loopy wheeled things from starwars? I mean an ork big-Mek can make almost anything work, put some monster-truck weeks on a tau hammerhead! Put some drone-style whirley-blades on the corners of a broke-down rhino with an underslung boom-Kannon!

I mean you really can go nuts.

This thing here is the greatest thing I've ever seen like it on Dakka.

And this is my own very stupid looted tank. Its two Russ tracks sandwiching an over-wide chassis section with a spear gun turret on top. This is the only pic I seem to have of it. The front has a big shoota and a rekkin-ball. But most importantly it has a red paint job and big dopey spoiler on the back!
