So this week I have been working on a squad of Battle Sisters for my Adepta Sororitas Army. This is a Force that I’ve been working on intermittently for about fifteen years. This time around I decided to add a squad of Storm Bolter equipped Dominions after playing a couple of games with the new Beta Codex from Chapter Approved.

I’m really pleased with how these girls have turned out, and I think I’ll be doing a few more Sororitas units in the near future.

They look good! Clean colors, uniform paint scheme, excellent details (the grey highlight for the armor edges came out particularly nice, and I always love the glass effect people get on the scopes). Sadly, your (high) level of painting shows the flaws in the old lead sculpts (I have 3k of these sisters...) Thanks for sharing, hope to see some more.

Keeping the hobby side alive!

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.

I wholeheartedly agree with Edward on this. A great paintjob on miniatures that should have been updated years ago.

I hope your trials with the beta SoB codex go well. Emperor willing you'll have plastic sisters worthy of your talents soon enough.

Cheers Guys. Yeah these girls are showing their age a bit, especially compared to the crisp, sharp plastic sculpts of the Primaris Marines that I’ve been painting for my Crimson Fists recently.. That being said there is something quite satisfying about having a big chunk of lead in your hands to paint.

Also my third army is a force of Salamanders made solely of 1980s Rogue Trader Marines; so these guys (girls) are pretty much hi-tech by comparison!

beautiful, and the paintjob definitely exceeds the sculpts!

I particularly like the highlighting on the guns; the metallic silver and hold looks lovely.

They look great, although the gigantic pics don't do them any favours.

"I will admit that some Primachs like Russ or Horus could have a chance against an unarmed 12 year old novice but, a full Battle Sister??!! One to one? In close combat? Perhaps three Primarchs fighting together... but just one Primarch?" da001
