Hi there,

All I can find online are speculation threads from prior to its release, so does anyone know how tall (in mm, if possible) the Armiger and regular Knights are? And, if possible, how tall they are from base-to-top and base-to-shoulders?

Thanks!

IK

Base to shoulder: 12,2 cm
Base to top of shoulder: 15 cm
Base to top of weapon (Icarus Autocannon): 18,5 cm

Be aware that measurements may vary a bit depending on the type of posture you chose when assembling the model. Have fun stomping the enemies of mankind with your mechs.
I don´t own any Armigers as they are ugly as **** imo.

Thanks for that.

I'm building some 'Mech Bays' , and want to make some "double bays" for the Amigiers I own.

"Why did you just measure your own?"

They're not built yet.

But yeah, I wanted to know if the 5" high Sector Mechanicus terrain would be too tall, or if using the shorter platforms one can make using the Thermic Plasma Regulators would work better for Amigers.

So thanks for the info. This'll help.

You are welcome. Well, assembling Mechs in 40K and painting them is an ordeal. I have to know because I did just that for three IKs and one Ork Stompa. I bought two IKR boxes when they were first available and completed just one model after having bought the box set. Then it took special encouragement to complete the other two in form of the two Pacific Rim movies.
The Ork Stompa is another sad story, if not the saddest of my whole painting hobby. In the first few days, I painted the crew and black flames on the torso of the Stompa. Then I took a long look at the model and decided it would take an aweful lot of effort to complete it. So I shelved the torso in the broom chamber for eight years...
After this procrastination period, I decided to complete it a few years ago because I couldn´t stand the unfinished torso resting on a shelf.

Here is a link to one of my many albums (Mechs in 40K):

https://ibb.co/album/gr3ZQa

It contains the first IK (Viper) and the Ork Stompa. In addition to that, there are a few pics of a test batrep for my custom IKR rules involving only Mechs in which Viper & Boa (IK) square off against the Ork Stompa. This all takes place on a Jungle Death World which is no surprise because my favourite faction are the Catachans.

May my pics encourage you to complete your IKs.

The Camo-Knight and the Stompa look great.

I want to do my Knights up like Mortal Kombat characters (so the Valiant would be Scorpion, the Castellan Sub-Zero, etc.), so learning how to paint those should be fun...

Thanks for the praise.
You are talking to the right person as I have played the first MK during the 90s on my Super Nintendo. Am I still playing newer versions? Yes, but I have to say that Injustice 2´s gear system revolutionized the genre because the long play experience doesn´t take a nose dive. I simply love grinding stuff because it´s like playing Diablo trying to get better loot the longer you play. It also has the same Set item mechanic likle Blizzard´s product so it is a nice blend of the two video games and the developers paid attention to a more increased availability of these Set items. I still can remember grinding Diablo II without getting a complete Set of five pieces. So in that regard, times have changed at least once for the better. It´s amazing that the MK existed up to this day but when your game is ripped off from Bruce Lee´s movie Enter the Dragon it has a solid foundation for success.

I don´t have the latest versions of the IK codex but I assume your Scorpion has the big harpoon gun wargear. If the model has access to a banner, it would be prudent to write Get over here on it. Another option would be to take the version which has the scary flamer option. I saw a few months ago a batrep on youtube and that gun was really frightening. It also goes well with Scorpion´s Hellfire special move.
Sub-Zero would be more tricky to pull of because GW never published any type of ice weapons in 40K apart from the Frost Blade of the SW. I am not sure on that one but wasn´t there a weapon which kind of pinned down the enemy? I don´t mean an old-school pinning mechanic but a way to slow down the enemy unit when it is hit? This would at least have a similar effect as an ice weapon.

I wish you good luck with your project and hope GW publishes a chem-thrower weapon for the IK and a psychic version. Why? Well, then you can add Reptile and Ermac to your MK Knights, too. By the way, is there a rules mechanic to get the effect of smoke launchers for your IK? It would open the door for Smoke in your team as well.
