Hi All

I recently finished magnetising my Eldar Wraithguards.

Although the later models turned out very well and don't need much work there a few bits which came out uneven I.E. Gaps opening up in the shoulder joints when magnets don't stick quite flush and also the wraithcannon and D cannon variants have many joining points so there are gaps in the shoulder joint.

Question 1. Is it me or magic scultps not too great at working with small bits ?
I read on a redidt and some forums that people swear by magic sculp(same thing as epoxy putty?) over green stuff but I dont find it sets when used in small amounts. Am I doing something wrong?
I got a small tester 50g pot to see what the fuss is about but have to say feel green stuff is more suited for the job of fixing small wrist joint etc.

question 2. As I have all the weapon bits separate from the models any tips on priming this ? I have rattle can and a shed to work with.
I don't want to prime using my airbrush for this as there are a lot of bits and would like to get them done in one go.

Anything I can put these on to stop them from sticking to the surface?
I was going to use an old redundant baking tray and line it with aluminium foil moulded into 5 compartments/areas to keep the weapon sets in groups of 5( to avoid mixing up polarities of individual load outs)
Anything I can do to avoid these sticking to the foil ?

Mucho thanks in advance.

When I spray magnetised components I just use the magnets to hang them on something metal. In my case, I use my sculpting tools, but a screwdriver or old cutlery or something would work.

Yeah, lol. One of my first commissions I had about 100 Blood Angels infantry, all magnetised. I ended up with this f*ked up looking tree like something from a horror movie where there were 6 different sculpting tools decked with dozens of arms clipped at weird angles out of one of those magnifying holders, all sprayed blood red.
