Subject: [2000] - Necrons - Is there any competitive viability here?
MSU Immortals may not be as effective with Gauss. Tesla will extend 2 shots to 24", may provide extra unsupported anti-infantry.
Your HQ choices could be switched up to mod an otherwise heavy hitting list. Destroyer Lord - melee threat with wraiths, got it. Who will the Lord be with? The Destroyers should be EP, and your Immortals will be scattered. The Chronotek with Veil could be a good Destroyer babysitter to help them weather incoming anti-tank fire. It looks like the Lord could be better off as a Cloaktek for vehicles or to dart quickly to save an MSU Immortal unit.

What are you planning on doing with the VoD and Blood Scythe Destroyer Lord?
Honestly, Destroyer lords have never proven worthwhile in any game i've run them. I don't see a great target for a VoD.
Necrons struggle because competitive lists can easily wipe out squads at a time to prevent you from ever rolling reanimation protocols. And, with our units being so expensive, every single loss of a unit is a keenly felt one. We don't have massive squads of dirt cheap troops to just hold objectives. If its not pulling serious weight in a cron list, its holding you back basically.

I had the D-lord because I needed another HQ and didnt think any thing else would do better with what I'm running, hes a 3+/4++ body that runs with the wraiths with a minimum 5 rerolling attacks on the charge, I though that's pretty good no? The veil is actually for the destroyers, can reposition in optimal cover on turn one and allows me to hide them from firepower for a turn without worrying they'll be out of range. I'f I'm not worried about them dying turn one than I can save it to shunt them away later in the game to try and repopulate the unit if one is still alive. What would you reccomend?

A Dlord is good with phylactery and nanoscarab casket, he can come back twice after being slain, and he regains d3 wounds at the start of each players turn. You can't veil novokh destroyers with a sautekh cryptek.
I would drop the doom scythes and get more troops and scarabs. Scarabs hold objectives, intercept smites, tie up enemy units in melee, etc.

Well, in my book special characters have a bad taste and I usually stay away from them.
I play my Necrons with 3 Doomscythes and it works pretty well vs. Marines. No game lost so far.
But pfreak will tell you that Doom Arks are much better.
All in all I think that the list with both can be really scary.
The list allows you to keep the enemy at arm's length and this is certainly what you want.

Yes, DDAs are much better than any flyer. If you have imotekh you should max your infantry units, to get the most out of his MWBD twice ability, and to be able to get some RP rolls off, because its much harder to kill 20 warriors. You have a cryptek, a ghost ark, and warriors. This means two RP rolls on 4+ for every warrior unit, but not if your warrior unit is wiped out.

Ghost Ark [8 PL, 145pts]
++ Total: [122 PL, 1995pts] ++
This is fairly similar to my list, though a few thoughts
with only one unit of immortals, Imotekh is def a waste of points so making a normal overlord and filling out the immortals will be beneficial (idealy make them tesla too)
IMO 5 destroyers are just not worth their points, and when your not deep striking they will get shot off turn one.
Would try and fit in a 3rd Doom Scythe, Gives options for the 3d3 mortal wound strat. With all the death watch around, access to mortal wounds is beneficial
