Also says the pack leader may either replace their bolt rifle with a chain sword, or take a chain sword in addition to their other weapons. Theres a part where there's a bolter rifle slung over a shoulder and a pistol in hand. Is that his arm the other for the chain sword?

The rules for the grenade launcher very clearly explains what it does, it only interacts with the Grenade type weapons the model has.

As for modeling that's up to you since WYSIWYG isn't a rule.

Which book has the basic rules. The one that has stuff that explains what heavy or assault does. Pretty sure I was give the wrong book because I can't find anything on what those do. The grenade launcher is attached under a rifle with the center missing. Which can be filled with bolter rifle, auto bolter rifle, sniper gun. Can I just snipe it up and move on?

Heavy or Assault is just a weapon type, there are rules in the Battle Primer on page 6 (or Main Rule Book (not sure what page, but it is in the "SHOOTING PHASE" rules)) that cover these types of weapons.

but the slot is open on the Auxiliary grenade launcher. Is there limits on what it can be or can I chose whatever.

In game terms the Auxiliary Grenade Launcher is a separate weapon. It doesn't matter which bolter type you have.

Ok fine, but the point, in answering the OPs question, is that it doesn't matter which of the 3 bolter options you have. The options are separate and not dependent on each other.

You have the option of either swapping or taking in addition. There is zero reason to not just take it in addition.

Yes, that's the part I use on my Power Sword pack leader.

Chapter Approved 2018 the Intercessor Pack Leader got updated to allow it to take a Chain Sword, Power Sword or Power Fist.(Well technically ALL intercessor sergeants)

The former comes on the Space Wolf Primaris Upgrade Sprue, the latter two are easy to convert.

Or more conventionally, you cannot use your Auxiliary grenade launcher after Advancing because you cannot use a Grenade after advancing (see rules for Auxiliary grenade launcher).
