What in your guys opinions is the hardest army's to assemble taking to count the whole range. I think admech are the worst in terms of tiny parts and bits.

Well i think the held rake was a pain to assemble with using just super glue, i cant think of another model that might be as much of a pain. So i guess you could say CSM because maybe the held-rake alone makes perhaps could make it the hardest to assemble army.

For my money, Death Korps.
Ad Mech are a close second, for fiddly bits and awkard poses, but the DKoK are just so unbelievably fiddly, frail and the resin doesnt take glue half as well as plastic.

Hopefully not teaching you to suck eggs but you should be using superglue for resin, not poly cement.

Nah mate, the Heldrake is a doddle. Nice big chunky bits and mono-pose. Just need to make sure you do everything in the right order. You want to use plastic glue for plastics though, you get a much better joint than with superglue.
Drukhari and Harlequins are pretty fiddly in terms of small bits. My son's just built some Necron warriors, they were surprisingly awkward considering how relatively few parts they're made of - but we found you have to glue both arms on together along with the joint where the 2nd arm meets the gun at the same time, in order to get a decent pose where everything meets up as it should. Not fun.

Admech would get my vote for 40k but its not that bad compared to some ranges, probably Wargames Factory Skeletons are the worst I have ever tried to put together though Mantic's restic and pewter kits are right up their for frustrating.

The only thing I've really had a problem with was a forge world armageddon pattern basilisk. resin is not a good material for model armour.

Death armies in Age of Sigmar. Nagash, Spirit Hosts, and Morghasts all have very vague and unclear instructions, largely in part because many of the pieces are blobby ectoplasmic parts with no discernable landmarks, so you have to find the perfect angle to match the instructions in order to fit the pieces together. Skeletons have the tiniest join points. Nighthaunt are flimsy as all hell.

Almost everybody here focus on tiny and fiddly plastic, but personally I think building any list heavy with resin vehicles or large resin upgrades is the challenge. All that sanding, hot water reshaping, pins, putty filling etc is time consuming and actually difficult. The only bigger challenge would be the same list with metal vehicles, but gladly those times are over.
As to plastic - I don't know AOS, but some AdMech minis have ridiculous parts - all those grills with mould lines and bits like Electropriests wristbands.
Or DE Wracks with those tiny separate vials and other gizmos - you can easily melt the whole part if you apply too big dot of plastic glue when mounting it.

Honestly, fw resin is terrible, i had no problem with other resin models from other companies, but fw resin, eeeeuuughh.

Anyone else got a storm eagle gunship from FW when they came out?
I've assembled warhounds, reavers etc and never any real issues.
The storm eagle though, what a mess.
It's designed to fit seamlessly, but when every single pieces is warped at varying angles it makes it a pain.
Took me 3 days to get one together as I was constantly having to straighten sections to get them to fit.
I then had to do minor gap filling and sanding to finish it off.
I had an easier time chopping up the hierophant and fitting brass rods through all 4 legs to stop it sagging.
Fiddly parts I'm fine with, I just get tired pretty quickly of straightening warped parts.
Before you can even do that they generally need washing, clipping and filing down ready.
Just makes even the simplest thing a drawn out task.

The miniatures for test of honour were pretty fiddly for me. Really small parts and you had to bend the fingers a bit to make a pike or spear get through.
I remember assembling necron warriors a very long time ago. I couldn't get the torso and legs to stick on the desired position. They just flopped about. I don't actualy know if the kit was updated since then.

Anything for Warmachines in PVC. hordes kinda gets a pass because its mostly organic shapes. PVC in general not because its hard to assemble but the clean up of horrid mold lines.

Nothing is hard aslong as you dont rush it!
But the amount of tiny fiddly bits usualy set the bar on the assembly level.
I would say the AT18 titans has some fairly small and fiddly bits. it is actualy the first GW model range where i had to use tweezers.
Non GW, then 6-10mm scale can be fairly fiddly, sutch as flames of war.

I only have experience with Marines, Necrons and Guard. Necrons are by far the most difficult of the three. Doomsday Ark took me a week to clip, clean and assemble. Must have had over 100 individual parts. Tomb Blades are an absolute nightmare. Even the basic troops are a pain in the arse. Then there's forgeworld.... the Tomb Stalker looks amazing but assembly was a form of torture I never want to repeat.

Fun totally obsolete fact: The 3rd edition marines had matching details on each arm, so you could be sure you were using the right arms to get everything lined up correctly. A fact I learned sometime in 4th edition.
I’ll second nighthaunt and death armies as a bear to work with. Tiny contact points, nebulous organic shapes, spindly bits prone to snapping, etc.
Eldar in 40k are also fun from a clean up POV. Lots of curves, tiny details, and odd shapes. Always makes me glad when I go back to building marines.

In my opinion, Necrons have some really weird models to assemble. I don't know if any of you have ever assembled a ghost ark before... They are without a doubt my least favorite model to build. I have two I built them both in one sitting and I was dead on the inside after spending that many hours building and gluing...

i dont have any issues with nighthaunt or small contact point parts for plastic.
get a realy thin plastic glue with a brush applicator and just hold the parts together with one hand and glue with the other. the glue will run inbetween the joints and melt the plastic from there.
no need to worry about spillage cuz the glue evaporates in a few seconds.
Tamiya extra thin or Mr Cement S is what i use and i cant reccomend them enugh. (ofc there is 0 drying time so you have no time to adjust)

I hated building the Necron Deathmarks, or any plastic kits where you need to glue two balljointed arms and the weapon all at the same time to get a decent pose.

This.
First squad I assembled 6-7 seven years ago I almost cried: glue in my hands and parts that would not fit no matter how you tried to put them on. Nowadays I'm much more patient with modelling and I get by pretty well. Still though, not my favorite thing to assemble.
Another one is the Blood Bowl troll, somehow I just really disliked the way the bits were supposed to be attached.
