Just some stuff a lot of admech players argue about when playing admech is that the fluff is pretty much gone, even with gorgeous models.

AdMech don't get morale immunity from their suppressed emotions because no one else does in 8th. Rubricae and Necron Warriors are literally mindless yet they can drop their guns and run off screaming like anyone else given enough penalties to their roll.

They really should have kept the scout move, though.

I know, but they should have a scout move in turn 1 as they are always heard and have a strong debuff aura, ruststalkers should be the ones with deepstrike

I get it, but why do they have the same LD as guard? more often than not worse because of sergeants, when they are fluffwise at least have as high a morale as space marines, when not even higher.

This is what does not compute, how do they not have LD at least that of a SM?

The cartoon would be really funny if it wasn't so true. =(

Especially since Ruststalkers and Infiltrators are supposed to be the elite and/or battle damaged upgraded from within the Vanguard and Rangers. They've seen their share of battle, they should have higher LD.

Yup, they're supposed to be badass but run like a cat on fire at the slightest of breezes.

I can forgive the Ld since Dune crawlers give a point anyway

Sure, in 3" an you never want your dunecrawlers near your infantry/sicarians anyway, and dragoons are too fast for you chaff.

I'm a lot more annoyed by the crappy Secutarii rules ("Skitarii assigned to the 1st Macroclade lose all the Forge World's special rules and can't be commanded by Tech-Priests!") and the continued delay of IA14, though I have a Mechanicum army at all because of Thallaxii and the Triarios, and I don't really like Sicarans.

A low LD can also represent stupidity and stubbornness to you know....duck or get out of the way. (IE the morale phase is more then just running away, its the effect a charge has on a unit as a whole.)

I am aware of that, and if you take that into consideration it makes even less sense with admech which constantly shares all of its information and work like a well oiled machine, all a cog part of a bigger machine.

It makes sense for even a space marine to get disoriented in a fight, but not for a skitarii.

Tau drones, which are expendable gun platforms that can literally be programmed to never retreat under any circumstances and have about as much meaningful "morale" as a guided missile, can fail their LD roll and flee. Don't complain about your troops having a chance to run.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Kastelan can run away too. But I can compare skitarii shouldnt have the ld of guardsmen and have at least the same as sm, that and guardsmen need less it seems, one way or the other.

Run away? You mean ‘engage Tactical Retreat Protocol’ to preserve their bodies for another fight, surely...

Or needing an undamaged unit to return damaged units for repair. What Guardsmen call "first aid".
