Subject: Suggestions for cheap "floor plates" for 40K
So we recently got the Know No Fear set and it comes with a cool mat and box-terrain. I want to update my existing terrain to match a bit more.
Currently I have several ruined wall sections made from some OOPGW ruins. I have them attached to foam "hills" of open ground.
I'd like to "replant" the corners onto more industrial or even cobblestone-esk floors.
Any know what I can get such floors, preferable 8-10" x 8-10" sections? Or even a quick/cheap way to make them?
Or try some foamed PVC. It's quite squishy so takes texturing. Use a ballpoint pen and draw a lot of cobbles or stone slabs really hard and it should.leave a reasonable surface. It can by quite flexible at 8 inch size though.
Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
I actually have some patterns save that look like to-scale stone floors. I might print some of those to glue as the floor, but have the corner ruins with a bit of dry-brushed sand/rubble at it's base.
The only thing that might look off is that the patterns would be black/white (so grey stone) but I've painted the ruins in a tan/cream color and do not want to repaint them.

Here ya go Mario. Thanks for defending Mushroom Kingdom.
I myself have a crap ton of old D&D tiles made out of cardboard from a game I never play anymore. (weird used to love it, don't like people much these days) Anyways I cut the corners off each tile after cutting them out into one inch squares. They fit a base perfectly for 40k. You can texture the top with baking soda to get a sandy like stone effect. Baking soda and crazy glue..
