Found this on Kickstarter. I have no connection to the creator but was intrigued.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

I'm in a similar boat. Seems tempting for something that can be squirrelled away for future reference. On the other hand, a hangar line that should be pretty easy to pull together using standard modelling materials.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Nice model, shame they didn't consider making it in plastic ,that would have been a winner.

I like that heavy gun, though the defenses that come with it seem lackluster.

I'm always hoping that one of these campaigns will offer an option to buy a printed version, or partner up with someone who would print it for (x)$.

There are a lot of nice projects like this out there, but I will most likely never actually own a 3D printer.

Someone said st one point that US libraries were bringing in 3d printing services. Otherwise there is always shapeways.

Have no fear, there are indeed services that will print stuff like this for you.

Additionally, I bet there are enough people on this forum with 3D printers that a Swap Shop thread requesting that service would get answered.

Also, FWIW, you can get a pretty nice 3D FDM printer for about $200 these days. You won't yet get a DLP printer at that price, but FDM is not bad at all for wargaming terrain.

I think it is very unlikely you will never own a 3D printer. The costs are rapidly improving and the resolution is improving too.

I suspect most homes will have one in a decade.

These are cool and very much something I've wanted. So thank you for sharing.

I am a bit surprised by the price. It seems steeper than a lot of the Kickstarters for 3d printing files, I've seen.

All good suggestions - thank you!

You are, of course, right - never say never and all that.

I do, however, highly doubt I'll have a 3D printer in my house anytime in the next...3 years, give or take!
