Hey everyone,

I am currently assembling a Skitarri army and will be doing that for some time. Their theme is that they live on a Necron World Engine and zip around to different sectors to offer their services, but also exact tribute from the planet they're helping. I am calling it the Carrion Moon on account people would call them vultures.

That said, I want to have a small allied army of Imperial Guard as a sort of Planetary Defense Force. Used in revolts or minor assistance in battles. The World Engine being a moon, they're isn't an atmosphere so the regular looking IG with their armor/boots may not seem theme thematic.

I am looking for suggestions on conversions or models that may be appropriate for a "moon" themed IG. So perhaps an appearance they can operate in environments without oxygen. That sorta thing.

Well an easy way to make void suit looking IG is to use GSC bodies with ranger Helmet heads.


its going to take a lot of work to clean up all the icons though. and they end up using autoguns instead of lasguns if that matters.

Paint wise... classic NASA white and grey rubber would be pretty slick.

Those helmets are from the Vanguard, not Rangers.

I can never remember which one was which ether way it should be fine as its in the same kit extra bits should be plentiful.

Actually, Van Saar would look pretty good with some fully enclosed helmets. Might need to.add some air.tank type.things, but they rock the armoured fully enclosed environmental.suit look.

The Cadian Hostile Environment packs are insanely expensive.
