Happy Star Wars day everyone, what ways are you all celebrating Star Wars. Me well I’m off to Lego land and picking up plenty of Lego Star Wars sets.
May the force be with you, always.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

I'm celebrating with a pair of ancient AMT A-Wing model kits from the 80's. I bought them a while back since they're perfect scale for Legion terrain, but they require *so* much work I just couldn't be bothered initially(oldschool raised panel lines have to be sanded down then scribed out, some parts need to be shimmed, some bits that are supposed to be round aren't and so need reshaping, and I have to cut the landing flaps out of the bottom half and scratchbuild the gear).

Losing yet another of the OG cast the other day is a timely reminder that we're not here forever, so I decided to stop procrastinating and get on with it.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

I'm old school Star Wars all the way and feeling more grumpy about it day by day after TLJ.

I will be watching the odd episode of Rebels because I'm really enjoying it. I thought that it was a big step backwards after The Clone Wars, but I stand corrected. I was amazed that I was happy with the B-Wing episode - never expected that!

It is a cracker of an episode. The way they were able to animate and express Hera’s love of flying was pretty much perfect.

I heard rumours that in the show, the B-Wing went all Death Star on a Star Destroyer and as a result decided that I was never going to bother with Rebels. I'm really glad that I gave it a chance, because the B-Wing rumours weren't exactly true or as simple as people made out and it's a rather clever show.

I like having characters who aren't idiots and sarcastically point out odd things that seem to happen all the time in Star Wars; prime example when the Rebels are using a Sentinel landing craft, someone asks "how come the Empire keeps letting us steal these things?"

A little late to this, but I've been running EotE games on Saturdays with friends and it just so happened that they completed Long Arm of the Hutt right in time for Star Wars day.

Notably, the final act of that campaign leaves the players in this wierd situation where they're back where they started but their ship has been left on another planet. So I needed to run an extra short session on Revenge of the 5th to allow the players to wrap things up, collect their reward and fly off into the suns set.

... And fish through their debates on what to do next to pick our next campaign.

Having come out the other end, they have established a bunch of contacts with the Rebels, various criminal organizations (and noble non-profits that are actually criminal organizations), cut a bloody swath across a handful of backwater worlds and did it all without upsetting the Empire.

They also like to steal droids. Gonna have to deal with that.
