Hello there. I have been working on my own Space Marine Chapter. I am to the point to where I need to build up a Chapter Master. I'm not really all that great at doing conversions, but kind of want my model to look unique. I know I want to build him in Terminator Armor. Can anyone suggest a model that I could use to base him from?

There are a few options available. Some easier to get then others and some more expensive then others.

Easiest choice for a fairly unique looking terminator chapter master is the bloke out of the SC! box. He's also available by himself as a Deathwatch Watchmaster. Same model, but comes with an upgrade sprue.

There is also the Blood Angels terminator captain with different weapon combo, and again available in a (different) SC! box and on his own.

If you want a different style of terminator armour with an odd weapon choice then this chap is available.

Those three are probably your easiest options for actual "Chapter Masters". They're all plastic and can be knocked together straight out of the box with no work on your part.

A final generic terminator armoured marine is the praetor from Forgeworld, but he's resin and more expensive.

Now, depending on how much work you actually feel like doing to make a unique looking model, there is a large host of chapter specific heroes who with a little filling and scraping, you could make look far more generic. For fullness i've even included chaplains and librarians
Here's a list of links to them. Some are GW, some are FW.
