So I'm trying to magnetize the arms on a Wraithlord to get some variety. I've got 2 arms that are Lances and an Arm with Glaive/spear with a matching "shield" arm
But I am having difficulty "lining up" the arms to hold a rifle.

I just can't get the right arm just right to go across the chest in a way that allows the left arm to place a hand under the barrel.
The arms clearly were not meant to bend this way, despite it being one of the example builds in the instructions.

Any suggestions (short of just keep cutting and regluing until I get it right)?
Can anyone who has done this post a photo of your model?

I haven't done this, but I suspect the easiest way to go about it will involve trimming the wrist joint rather than repositioning the elbow.

I think my problem was that I was trying to adjust the left arm to hold the barrel, rather than adjust the right arm so that the barrel lines up with the left hand. If that makes sense
Another problem has to do with the magnets not having the right angle.

I'm sure I'll get it. I was just wondering if anyone else had similar difficulties. It doesn't seem like the kit is made to hold it like a rifle

In a related note, when I was tweaking arms for a charging WL pose, where I wanted one outstretched, it was the shoulder guard that got in the way, Cutting that off and angling it up would give you a better range of motion.

Not that I did that, but I saw that it could help...

Yeah, that shoulder guard is certainly getting in my way. Might have to adjust it if I can get the arms right

It didn’t look like it would be hard to do, I was just being lazy. That and every time I take a knife to a model there is the odds I’ll screw it up, and I already had done a lot of work; didn’t want to push my luck.

On topic, my “rifle” build.

Very nice work. I see you used the bent elbow arm for the left. I couldn't decide which to use, but went with the straight elbow since that it what the instruction booklet example had.
But then I ending up cutting it into a slight bend. Hopefully that will split the difference

I made mine with two brightlances like a double-barreled shotgun, using a bent elbow for the right arm with the pistol grip hand and a piece of plasticard to join things together and a straight arm to support the weapon.

Here is mine. I do remember it being a little dicey with the arm, but not having to change much. (As a note, be careful. I've been accused of modeling for advantage because he is kneeling. Which amused me because the same argument (changing his height is changing the mini) seems to not apply to the other two dimensions to these people. If making him shorter is MFA, so is placing his gun at a different angle, or his arm, or anything...which mean, go play with perfect cubes or everyone is Modeling for advantage)

Cool. I'm doing something similar, but instead of 2 BLs, I'm using a Pulse laser barrel to represent a 2 shot BL.

Good news everyone! I figured out that I could put a bit of greenstuff over the magnets in the shoulder sockets to slightly change the angle of the arms. The magnets are still strong enough to hold even with a bit of GS in between them.

I'll post pics soon, hopefully this weekend.
