Started watching on iPlayer.

Absolutely loved the original film, and very much consider it a modern classic.

I was worried about how well it’d transfer to the small screen, requiring as it does more scripts. I shouldn’t have. This show is easily the best thing on teevee at this very moment.

Stars Kayvan Novak and Matt Berry, who put in their usual excellent performances.

If you’re in the U.K., it’s on iPlayer as I mentioned. Elsewhere? FX in the USA, beyond that I’m unsure. But definitely worth tracking down.

It's awesome. I love all the facial expressions Demetriuou makes.

It looks really interesting, but I just haven't bothered to watch it yet. I like the style of humor on display, and the actors almost seem like they've chosen to completely buy into their personas which just makes the commercials seem funnier.

This is by the same guy that did Thor: Ragnarock right? I'll need to give the film, and this show, a watch.

Well, nobody needs to see the Mona Lisa, or The Thinker, or the Grand Canyon.

It's still recommended.

Oh, I feel I should point out it's not particularly shy on the swearing. Particularly Matt Berry's character.

So, perhaps worth bearing in mind? I find swearing inherently funny, but I get it can be offputting for others.

If you like Matt Berry but don't care for language, there's Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.

Not to mention Toast of London - such a solid and underrated show.

The first episode was great. And that was the only one directed by Taika Watiti. The rest are 'meh' and it lost something after the first episode.
I just didn't find it as well directed or funny after episode 1.

The Office Meets Dracula

Three vampires and an energy vampire live in a house in Staten Island. Despite being...well vampires...they are generally lame and sometimes idiots.

It is seriously, honestly the best thing on tv at the moment.

And given it’s a US production, based on a New Zealand film, very British.

Indeed, its kind of dry Office like humor is what I really like.

And Nadja's facial expressions. "Now there are DOGS going in my house!"

There’s a good mix of talent within the house.

Characters are all different, United only in just how pathetic and I’ll equipped they are. Which is what I, for one, want in an ensemble piece.

Evie is a wicked addition too.

It's funny, back when he had long hair and no beard, I always thought Kayvan Novak would have been perfect casting for Big E.

I watched it right after the movie and thought it was great. I don't care for colin all that much but i enjoy it.
Didn't care for the orgy all that much.

Colin was initially annoying to me, but I dunno man. Upon re-watchings he really grew on me, it was inexplicable - maybe it was the accrued weight of seeing him annoy the hell out of the other vampires on purpose to feed on them.

Colin Robinson is feeding on the entire audience. We can't escape.......

I get why others find him a bit, well, dull. But Colin Robinson is probably one of my favourite aspects. An outright satire of energy draining office gits.

The sort that will just talk at you, usually about a subject you’ve absolutely no interest in. They’re not necessarily malevolent, but remain a menace.
