Please clarify. The Patriarch (and other GSC Characters) can be accompanied by familiars. However, the only data sheet that includes the listing for Familiar Claws is the Abominant. Are we to assume all familiars come with Familiar claws even if it is not listed on the data sheet of characters such as the patriarch? I cannot find a separate data sheet for Familiars so the only references I have are the cost, the list under the Melee Weapons cheat sheet, and the weapon listed under the Abominant. Without it being clear, I can see arguments that the 2 attacks listed under a patriarch do not use the Familiar Claws profile. It does say the Patriarch is armed with, etc
Is there a clarification I am missing? My group just gives them all familiar claws, but I don't want to be surprised by this at my FLGS.

PS: I tried searching the forums, but the search function continues to be vague and failed me.

The Abominant's datasheet is the only one to give a Familiar the Familiar Claws, thus only the Abominant's Familiar is the only one that has them.

They are different units and have different rules. For the Abominant the Familiar is just wargear, for the others it's a separate accompanying model with it's own profile and wargear (e.g. A Patriarch is a 2 model unit).

Yeah, the Abominant's familiar is completely different to the patriarch ones, with very different rules. This is clearly intentional, as the Familiars sold with the Patriarch are supplied with their own bases, but the one with the Abominant is shown to be placed on the same base as the Abominant.

There are several different Familiars across the GSC Codex - the Patriarch & Magus have a separate model Familiar, the Abominant comes with a Mindwyrm Familiar, the Sanctus a Soulsight Familiar and the Biophagus a Alchemicus Familiar (optional separate model). Only the Abominant & Sanctus's Familiars have "Familiar claws".

Ok, thanks guys! Clearly regular familiars fight with no weapon profile, just their base profile then.
