I really would love to try and make a mixed army of Slaves to Darkness and Beasts of Chaos, with allegiance to Nurgle. Problem is I don't know what faction or battalion organization I should take, any ideas?

Any Slaves to Darkness unit can be given the Nurgle keyword, which makes them part of the Nurgle allegiance. Beasts can take the Pestilent Thong battalion which gives the units within it the Nurgle keyword and part of the Nurgle allegiance.

So to do you what you want to do you need to put all your Beasts unit in a Pestilent Thong battalion, give all your Slaves units the mark of Nurgle, then use the allegiance from Maggotkin.

I am so very much hoping the Slaves to Darkness get battalions with Chaos god keywords like the Beasts of Chaos have.

All the StD units can take the chaos god keywords and be a part of any of the four allegiances; it's always been that way. Marauders are a common choice for Nurgle armies looking for cheap chaff, for example.

Though according to a tactics wiki, the warband for the Nurgle StD is actually found in the Everchosen book
