The new rules are interesting - but the sculpts are (IMHO) very poor/uninspiring - and also seem smallish.
I have collected samurai miniatures since 1994 (when I started The Samurai Miniatures Page) and now own several hundred different sculpts from various manufacturers and these lacks character - probably due to them being designed on a computer by someone lacking the skill to make them dynamic and with character. Nice details but looking more like statues than people.
Also I despise ”realistic proportions”, preferring heroic scale with exaggerated heads, etc.
Bushido is great. Probably my favorite Japanese line along with Kensai. Rules are heavily influenced by Confrontation without being just a knockoff. It's a fun game.
I wish My project quo wasn't as full as it was. I'd be all over this one.
At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

I've looked and...I can't tell!
Found these on reddit, the cards for the Ito Clan side, which tells you the names of them. Not sure about the Ryu Prefecture side though.
Spoiler:
Automatically Appended Next Post: There’s also new starters for each faction coming, the first 5 with this wave and the remainders the wave after. The Minimoto one is the same as the current one (it only came out last year) while some are all new minis (Savage Wave) the others are a mix of old and new. The new minis in them will be available separately at some point, if you already own the old minis with them in the starter.
Ito Clan (basically snake samurai/cultists):
Spoiler:
Minimoto Clan (the bear clan, strong and armoured but slow):
Spoiler:
Prefecture of Ryu (main power, generalists, samurai etc):
Spoiler:
Savage Wave (bakemon, which are those goblin things, and Oni - the monster faction basically):
Spoiler:
And Temple of Ro-Kan (monks and humanoid animals):
Spoiler:
The other factions are the Cult of Yurai (necromancers, zombies, spirits, yokai etc); Jung Pirates (pirates, as the name suggests, with some having a Davey Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean vibe, human/shark hybrids, human/crab hybrids); Silvermoon Syndicate (a crime syndicate, with quite a few Buto, which are basically massive strong humans); Tengu Descension (a mixture of mountain tribesmen, and birdmen samurai); and the Shadow Wind Clan (ninjas).
Edit: spoilered big pictures.

I know, its a curse of the new media besides no talent will always result in bland minis.
The computer generated scults are just taking to much of the industry and classic sculpting getting a bit of a seat back.
You can order the faction cards now through the website gctstudios.com. Sold in full faction bundles.

kendoka I like more realistic proportions so Personal teste I think.
Some older models was screaming for update, like "Grey Pilgrim". New ones are quite cool for me.
When I paint my older Ito and Cult starters,I will grab some new minis. Now just book, cards and promos.
New starter sets up for preorder, released on the 4th November.
Descension:
Jung Pirates:
Cult of Yurei:
Silvermoon Syndicate:
I really like the Descension and particularly the Cult models. I wish they’d done more new sculpts for the Silvermoon box, the 4 older sculpts look a bit dated compared to the new stuff imo.
(EDIT - the new Heimin pictured above are *not* part of the new starter!)
and the new Heimin:
Spoiler:
Will definitely also be getting the new(er) Descension starter as well as another 'human' faction (Ryu or Ito - though to decide!) and most likely a few of the Savage Wave as well...
I've moved towards smaller boards and smaller forces skirmish games, and with this one being inspired/based off of Confrontation of old, it was a 'can no longer resist' situation.
Will most likely build up a table using Sarissa Precision's Japanese themed terrain too:
