Subject: Games akin to TV's Supernatural or White Wolf's Hunter IP?

Had the weirdest craving... I'm wondering if any good tabletop games, indie or otherwise, exist that capture the World of Darkness "Hunter: Redeemer" or TV's Supernatural vibe?
Essentially normal humans vs. the forces of the supernatural (werewolves, vampires, etc...) Dracula in America could get hacked easily enough to make this work. Any other suggestions?

If you can get past the terrible layout and cheesy ninties artwork, I love an old game from Steve Jackson Games called In Nomine. The core game is Angels vs. Demons in a modern (well, 90s) world in a cold war for the soul of humanity, but it was totally possible to play Soldiers of God or Soldiers of Hell, or Grey Soldiers which are humans who know about the supernatural and take part in the War. You could also play old Gods and so on from the Dreamlands.
It really does an American Gods/Good Omens/Supernatural kind of game brilliantly.
Just be aware, if you play a Human in that game you will be VERY underpowered compared to a supernatural being and will have to use your slim advantages to maximum effect to survive.
Might not be what you are looking for though, since the main focus is on Angels and Demons, but we did a Soldier game successfully enough, and an Old Gods game inspired by American Gods.

Oh wait, actually. You want this as a wargame, sorry, I did not see which forum this was in. In Nomine is a roleplaying game!

No worry, but yes. We love stuff like This is Not a Test, Last Days, etc... but while all of them COULD work, I feel like nothing i'm familiar with has that "spanning all the supernatural tropes in a modern setting" I thought might be out there.

Schade. Sorry about that! I will have a think. Something is definitely ringing a bell. If such a game does not exist, someone should make it...

If you're ok with minis boardgames, I think I remember seeing a few streamline ones with that type of theme but I can't for the life of me remember the names (not my thing personally). I just did a search in the kickstarter tabletop section ranked by most funded and a dozen games lol up from various cthulhu ones to streamline to scifi humans versus supernatural things. Additionally there is that steampunk 1880s game from battlefoam with cowboys and Indians and supernatural themes. I can't think of any or see any set in the modern era though.

I think you're referring to Wild West Exodus as the "game from Battlefoam..." FWIW, Outlaw Miniatures (Battlefoam) sold that IP off a few years back, and Wild West Exodus is now in production (and 2nd edition) by Warcradle Studios. Also, it's a damn good game. It is, as the name implies, Wild West, but there are also shapeshifting Native Americans, aliens, dark corrupted voodoo zombies, Frankentein constructs, and Doc Holiday and Wyatt Earp. So.. yeah. Definitely not modern day, though.

So what makes WWE special/good? I'm having a hard time finding batreps, etc... but from Ash's videos it looks light and fun... but nothing jumps out as particularly great. Not saying this in a negative way but it looks like Baby's first Malifaux had a lovechild with any D10 skirmish system. Cool models though!

Thanks, it was WWE that I was referring to. Also, in rereading my post, it seems that auto-"correct" on my kindle really doesn't like the word steampunk yet has a love affair with the word streamlined. I caught the involuntary change once but missed the other two.

There are a few things that make it good IMO.
1. The Action Deck. While alternating activations and AP isn't necessarily a new/original thing, the way WWX handles it is when it's your turn to activate you flip a card from the Action Deck, which tells you how many AP you get to use for this activation (1-5, with majority of the cards in the 2-3 range). Then you pick which model you want to do and do your thing.
2. Fortune. There'a resource management piece in the Fortune mechanic. Basically, heroes have a resource in Fortune points that you can use to do various things, like Focus an action (get +2 to your roll), buy more AP, or do other special things. They regenerate it at the end of their activation, and they can also use it for units in their posse.
3. Adventure Deck. This is the big one for me. While you'll have a scenario that has some standard objectives, you will also be drawing a hand of cards from your Adventure Deck. These cards can be used in one of two ways. The first is as additional sub-objectives to give you extra VP. Examples of that might be "destroy a Hands unit with a Shoot action" or "end your Boss' activation within 5" of the table center" or other stuff. These are called "Glory". If the other use of the Adventure Cards is in "Guts". These let you do things like gain extra AP, get various stat bonuses, and so on. So there's a choice of what to do and that makes it "interesting" IMO.
4. Fairly low hassle on modifiers and tests. Everything has a target number 10, and you take your model's stat (e.g., Aim for shooting), roll a d10, and add it to your stat. If you get a 10 or more, it's a success. Of course there are a few modifiers for things like cover and so on, but they're pretty intuitive and generally just modify your attribute.
5. No HP/wound tracking. Everything has 1 wound, though there are a handful of special abilities to allow some mitigation. So there's not a whole lot of bookkeeping.
And yeah, the models are pretty cool...
Edit: Oh, wanted to add that I watched Ash's "Let's Play" on it, and while I normally like Ash's videos, there were a lot of rules mistakes in that one, and they were using an older version of the rules. The company puts up updated full rules and stat cards on their website for download, and there definitely have been some balancing fixes.

That actually sounds great. Nothing like what I was looking for per-se, but still sounds dope and i'm adding it to my list. :-p Wish someone was selling it domestically though...

Yeah, finding it local in the US is still pretty tough. Though you can find some via Amazon (I think mostly through Noble Knight).

I always wanted to do a Frostgrave rip-off using the theme of Vampires in a "Blade- the Movie" style universe or Angels/Demons where the "wizard" is the supernatural leader.
To much research so I have not gotten around to it. I might look up In Nomine just for source material!

I'm not aware of any commercially available games that fit the theme you're talking about, but I've been tinkering on and off for the last few years with one that might fit the bill. It's a skirmish game pitting modern special forces against supernatural foes and their human followers etc. Factions are various military and intelligence agencies, Vatican demon hunters, vampire covens, werewolf packs, Neo-Nazi occultists, Lovecraftian cultists, Umbrella style evil corporations etc. While there's tons of zombie games about, I haven't come across anything quite as broad.
I actually pitched it to Osprey a couple of years ago, but it didn't go anywhere. It's still something I'd like to whip into shape and either get published or do a kickstarter to self publish at some point, but real life keeps getting in the way.
If that sounds like it would be of interest I can provide my draft so far.

Fistful of Lead with the gothic horror expansion would be a good fit for this I reckon. The upcoming Gangfight game would be good too.
