For those of you unaware or new to the hobby, Geoff was a fairly famous professional gamer who was notable in the Starcraft community for his zerg tournament play, and for the past decade or so for playing Tyranids at GTs. He did a lot of work with Frontline Gaming and also posted on dakka fairly frequently.
He passed away yesterday. reasons unknown, so I'd like to throw out a RIP for a great member of the community. I didn't know him personally but his contributions to the pro scene were a joy to witness.

I had met him at the LVO and is a great guy. His personality on the gaming table might have been abrasive, but it was just his style of humor and wasn't meant to be taken personally.
He certainly put forth a lot for the 40k community and will be missed.

I'm shocked, he's not that much older than me and also seemed a reasonably healthy gym bod kinda guy.
Condolences to his family and friends.
I'll miss his man-Zerg style, he was the only one who I ever saw make it work

It's an incredibly sad and tragic day.
Geoff was a great and positive presence in the community, and not one that can ever be replaced.

As much as it's a shock to those who just know of him, I can't imagine what it's like for his friends and family.
I just hope everyone's respectful and understanding if a number of podcasts/events etc are a little out of sorts for a while.

I listened to Geoff all the time the time for his Starcraft commentary. When I got into Warhammer again around 2012, lo and behold, there he was again! He leaves a good legacy, he welcomed a lot of people into the gaming hobby.

SC2 and Magic: The Gathering are the only gaming videos I tend to watch online, and Geoff's passion for SC2 and Warhammer gave me confidence that we would one day see that level of professionalism enter into the Warhammer battle-reporting scene. From his videos, he seemed to be a person that embraced who he was and was passionate for what he loved. He will be missed.

Holy gak. This is surreal. I didn't know him personally, but have been following him, listening to him; for nearly a decade now on Frontline Gaming, etc. He and Frankie were the NA Warhammer TV hosts if you didn't know.
So incredibly sad. I'll miss him.

There isn't anyone else like Geoff in the community really. He leaves a hole that can't be filled. I'd tune in to streams, or podcasts, or videos in games I don't play just to catch his humor and his insights.
This hits me real hard.
