Someone asked me to build them a Ork stompa, which I will...but for now I'd rather do something new so here's my shot at a 14 inch tall Ork titan?

whatever it is, took a week and I had alot of fun with it.

now back to the BIG projects.

That's a nonsense.

And it's brilliant!

The most Orky part to my mind is how unbelievably top heavy it would be...but it works because, well, ORKS.

I can't...I'm all Dakkaed out on this one.

you might also be surprised to hear that it was standing on its own before I added the base, which was just insurance. The trick was using pewter pieces to balance out the weight where needed. Not my first big Ork project, but to date one of my best.

this is what it looked like on Monday.

thanks for checking it out.

That is entirely not enough gun.

Looks like a pile of spare scrap with a tonne of guns haphazardly slapped on. So perfect!

While I appreciate the Orkyness of this build, Ork stuff like this always bugs me, because I cannot look at the model without thinking "that's odd...where would the breach and recoil mechanism for that gun be? Where is the ammo feeds, and massive ammo drums for all of those weapons?" etc.

Ork stuff definitely pushes my suspension of disbelief too much to enjoy it most of the time.

I agree totally, even with Orks the math has to add up, which is why I did include this pack back ish compartment which allows a space for the shoulder guns. And it was an 11th hour addition because for the same reasons listed, i felt it needed more on the back. I should have posted these pics with the first pics.

And again at the end of the day this is a hobby and should be fun and Orky enough or not, this was alot of fun.

here's a spoiler for the Emperor Class titan I'm working on now.

more to come...

The only way I could see to improving that Orky Titan would be to have ammo chains running down from the various shoulder guns, almost giving it a cloak of ammo ready to be loaded into the various guns for even more dakka!

Personal opinion - looks a bit too weedy. Needs some bulk. I know some people don't appreciate the stompa 'fatness', but I think it overall looks good. I think scaling up from that general template is a good way forward, generally.

Still, a fun piece. Also, where did you get all those gunz from?

The main gun was a printed piece, the rest was bits, plasticard, lollop sticks, toys and basically whatever I could fit on it.

And this was a deliberate attempt to get away from the fatty style titan, they are Orks after all so there really shouldn't be any limitation this point.

As for the bulk, It was part of the joke, thin frame then super heavy top which was a balancing nightmare but still, to me it has the cartoony fun the Orks are known for.
