Imperial Fists and their Successors have a HUGE history with Armageddon*. Given that the Black Templars have a nasty history with Ghaz and the Crimson Fists are the Ork-murder experts, I could definitely see the Imperial Fists supplement coming out around this time. And Salamanders coming out at this time would make perfect sense too, given that Vulkan was present on Armageddon last. It would also help make sense of the possible character models that could come out. The BT characters all want Ghaz's head. Pedro Kantor is one of the leading experts on taking down Orks. And Vulkan He'stan would want to be there to look for more Primarch gifts.

Spoiler:
Considering the Imperial Fists were wiped out to a man on the planet back when it was Ullanor.

I hope it's true for obvious reasons but I'm not going to hold my breath, we've had rumours of Ghazzy before.
True, but you could say they have major unfinished business with Armageddon.

Agreed on Ghaz rumors. He is the Plastic Thunderhawk of the Orks.

Pretty much the fluff justification for why they are the only Regiment GW produces anymore. It works though, I guess.

"War calls" First thing I think of here is Khorne.

"War calls" is a Khaine/Eldar thing. It's the final phrase of the ritual chant to awaken an Avatar.
Well, now that leads me to believe the Eldar rumors from before. Perhaps we will get Aspects of Ynnead like we have Aspects of Khaine?

Or maybe we will be getting a new Avatar of Khaine? GW had been remaking all the Greater Daemons. An Avatar of Khaine would be a nice next step.

And my god does it need the update. I know there's a FW model but it's not the same.
Isn't there a way that a gathering of the Phoenix Lords can summon an Avatar of Khaine? Like "psychic awakening" type summon?

I am leaning toward Psychic Awakening being new Eldar. New Avatar of Khaine. New Phoenix Lords. New Aspect Warriors.

@BrianDavion, I know a lot more people in the first group than either of the other groups combined.

Eh, I am rapidly approaching just ignoring the rest of this release altogether. Enthusiasm is waning. They had their hooks in me before, things have changed. I am looking at fun stuff to do with my existing models rather than getting new kits at this point.

Congrats, GW, you pissed this one down your leg.

They said about two months total for all the marine releases didn't they? Jesus people, chill the feth out. Plastic toys, remember, they're just plastic toys.

Games Workshop hasn't said anything about the Marine releases that I've seen.

There's just been rumors like the one in the OP, claiming "every two months".
The rumors have been all over the place anyway.

It isn't like Marine players are being unreasonable wanting the kits to actually play the units in their codex. But whatever, people can call it whining if they want.

Hmm, Imperial Fists and Crimson Fists Infiltrators are actually pretty decent since those extra hits generate auto-wounds. Get them in the Tactical Doctrine and they can start laying down a lot of good firepower.

I am glad they made other Chapters that use things like Honour Guard and whatnot able to use them again. Same with my Rhino Primaris and Land Raider Excelsior.

Is that right? That a fantastic news for those using Honour Guard.
Yup. They updated several Index units. Our Honour Guard will still have to pay the old points though.

Everything looks good in the upgrades. Good for IH and RG players.

I can't wait for the leaks for these two.

It looks like new supplements once a month or so, maybe?

Only thing I will be getting is two sets of Eliminators. IF/Sallies and El Camino release is going to be expensive.

Only two beakies per kit?

I would’ve been OK with 4 helmets and 2 (or none, really) bare heads.
One per Sprue, just like all the other upgrade kits. Worst thing is they are just different enough from Mk VI Beakies that using the old ones won't look right.

Yep. And of course if that old veteran could have gotten a Primaris upgrade via Rubicon.

And the Awoken aren't just initiates that were frozen. Some of them are veterans of the Great Crusade and the Heresy.
There is also a possibility that some of them have even met the Primarch. Probably not Emps himself, but being that old definitely opens the possibility.

Are you guys as shocked as me to see GW posting pictures of non-Primaris marines?

Nope, because unless you are part of the "oLd MaRiNeS aRe DeAd" brigade, you will actually see the fact that GW uses Old Marines just as much as Primaris in the new Codex and on their articles as well. On Vigilus, there were several Detachments that REQUIRED Old Marines.

Yeah, it has been their thing for quite a while. The most recent Sternguard kit from like 2013 has them with white guns. It adds some really great contrast for them. I definitely approve.

I kinda don't like it. More contrast is great, but RG & BT already had the black-n-white thing covered. I think it would have been better if their guns casing were a bright silver instead.

I would actually like it more if it was a complete Left-Field color like the red the Dark Angels use on theirs.

Like always, they are trying to show how many cool options are available in the kit. It just so happens that half of those options don't work well together. Like at all.

Instigator Bolt Carbines, FTW! Too bad only Phobos Captains and Eliminator Sergeants can take them.

New Eliminators kit sprue images. Interesting that each Eliminator is on his own sprue. Makes it easier to get some of the different options. I would expect to see the Sergeant sprue being available separately on eBay and for a decent chunk of change.

Likewise. A squad of 5 with an IBC and four Las Fusils would be quite nice. It is especially stupid because the Sergeant can be built as a regular Bolt Sniper Rifle guy.

I mean, I like running my Aggressors as 4 dudes to 5, so I'd like the same here.
The other stupid thing is the one Marine with a pistol drawn can't have a Las Fusil slung! I WANT OPTIONS! I might be able to convert a Shadowspear Bolt Sniper Rifle Marine to have a Las Fusil so I can out this cool pose BSR Marine in there instead.

Do we have prices yet for the Eliminators?

Everything else is fairly easy to suss out, but the Eliminators could be a wonky price point.
I am betting $50. Same as the other 3-man squads.

I figured out what I am going to do. I am going to cut the Shadowspear Sergeant's Sniper Bolt Rifle off and give him an Instigator Bolt Carbine instead. Then Pistol Pose Marine can be the Sergeant for that Squad and I will still be able to make all my Las Fusil Squads. Boom! Problem solved!

BOLS claims they'll be 50 bucks. not sure what their source is but useally when they announce the prices it's accurate

not bad. $100 this week. Something like $150 in three years when they actually get around to releasing the stupid Impulsor and when the Imperial Fists Supplement is release(provided the Crimson Fists are in said supplement).

Yeah, those are some pretty phenomenal rules. He buffs so much stuff and buffs it so well. Definitely a top choice for Iron Hands. Very thematic and very potent. Congrats, Iron Hands players, very jealous indeed.

I am really liking the fact that thusfar, all of the special characters we are getting are Marines that have crossed the Rubicon, not Chad, new guy Primaris Marine.

It should be decently easy to remove the helmet on his hip. I wouldn't worry about it. I have removed hip helmets on literally every model that comes with them save the Phobos Captain(because it was in two parts and it would be a pain in the rear). Worst case scenario, you have to throw a tiny bit of green stuff on the spot it came from. I wouldn't sweat it.

You'll note that my post was in reply to someone suggesting just using the beakie head from the RG upgrade frame.

Also, surprisingly the Phobos Captain head was a breeze to remove...assuming you do it before you build/paint.
This is true, I was just reiterating that you don't even need to explore using the Upgrade head as an option (and Shrike's helmet has a winged skull, so the other helmet doesn't even work).

I used one of the Imperial Fists upgrade heads on my Phobos Captain instead, looks pretty great, IMO.

You could run the Phobos Captain as a Eliminator Sergeant with an Instigator Bolt Carbine. I am considering that, since I will never use him otherwise unless the Imperial/Crimson Fists make him insanely good. I am considering that as an option rather than converting the Shadowspear Sergeant to have an Instigator Bolt Carbine.
