Okay, so I'm behind on the times, I know 3D printing has been a thing for a while, but it seems it's finally coming into the realm of "feasible" for the regular Joe. I want to either 3D print a set of legs that fits onto a plastic GW daemon prince torso that are longer than regular DP legs (Slaanesh theme is perfect) or see if one exists already that I can commission to be made. I also want something that would work as a body/torso to match the height of the current KoS, to make use of the extra arms and heads I have. Do these exist, or do I need to make my own? And where would I go about starting/learning/what is the best to use for models of these sizes? I'm honestly a complete noob at this and have never even begun to look.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Near Jupiter.

I know little like you. But i think resin printers give the best quality, but may be slower in most cases.

Go ahead and look on Thingiverse.com to see all of the free files that you can print. I have been printing 28-32mm minis on my Ender 3 and they have been coming out astonishingly good. I have the Pro which has just now come to the $200 mark and a regular Ender 3 is under $200. These are the best low cost printers out there now, IMHO.

Be sure to add the TL Smoothers to your printer, as they help eliminate the tiny jerks - costs about $8.

I work in a library with a 3d printer and I'm a wargame nut. For awhile now I've been printing stuff for Adeptus Titanicus, terrain pieces, and even guns to glue on Hot Wheels for Gaslands.

Almost all of what you want to print so far is best done on a resin printer. Plastic filament (FDM) printers have a much harder time printing smooth organic shapes that have much complexity to them without a lot of cleanup work. That's what I have at work and I have to limit what I'm doing to blockier shapes.

How much money do you have for hobby stuff? An Anycubic Photon gets below $500 on Amazon but supplies cost more and there's a learning curve to figuring them out. I hope to get one at my branch so I print fancy wargame stuff *cough* I mean help the public print more detailed designs of course *cough*.

A lot of public libraries in the US are adopting 3d printing because of public demand. I googled your local library and found this:
https://www.norwalkpl.org/Calendar.aspx?EID=21603
This would give you a better, hands on idea of what you're getting into. Odds are you can print your first few designs at a library for free (or really cheap) to get yourself started. I do public programs at work about using our printer and I get some people who are really into and others who figure it's too much work.

Thank you for the links guys. I checked out thingiverse (no luck), and the library thing will be in full swing before I get home from work. If anyone knows of “leg extenders” for Daemon Princes, that would be my ideal grab right now!! I did see a very female KoS model that would work with modifications from the current kit, but the artist doesn’t seem to have released his/her files for it.

You might call the library to see if they have Saturday programs or appointments available for help. I get asked all the time for on demand help for every little thing...

What you're looking for sounds really specific within a niche, specific hobby, Do you have any skills with greenstuff? You might have luck building a skinny version of the basic shape you're looking then for using that as a frame for building up greenstuff so it looks smoother or more organic.

When on Thingiverse, don't just look for legs, but possibly a whole model that you can just use the legs. It is easy to split a 3d model.
