Apologies to the Mods, but I need to get this off my chest,

A woman I know was reported missing on Sunday night, and found dead Monday evening.

We were friendly, but not exactly friends. Somewhere between the polite acknowledgement and instant conversation.

And what whilst Police investigations continue, and the cause of death is, currently, unexplained, it’s looking like she was murdered.

Now I’ve been thought a lot of stuff in my life. Friends have taken their own life, friends have overdosed. Hell, I even spent a year homeless through nobody’s fault.

But this? I genuinely don’t know how to handle.

It’s almost a trope that such victims only have nice things said about them. But with her? It’s genuine. My social group, being in a small town is somewhat socially incestuous. Yet I’ve never, ever, heard a bad word about her. Not even the merest hint of innuendo in that regard.

Life is cruel, life is unfair. So look after you and yours, and let them know they’re loved. Because you never know when it might be too late.

Again, I know this is going to locked, and possibly deleted. Since red apologies to the Mods, but I really needed to vent.

Hang tough man. I once had the 'pleasure' of getting to inform one of my troopers that his Dad had been murdered the previous night. Not a fun conversation.
