How do?

So around midnight, UK time, GW have promised all sorts of reveals, covering pretty much everything!

AoS - New Mortarch, presumably with new Undead models. From the teaser animations, some kind of Skellington based force. How alike to the much missed Khemri ‘dry dead’ we’re unsure.

40k - Psychic Awakening. Many feel this will be broadly similar to AoS magic expansion, and that seems a reasonable inference. But it could be anything, quite possibly a story progression as much as rules.

Warhammer Legends - I’m not sure what it is to be honest. I recognised the title, but in relation to what I dunno.

Then there’s Warcry (two missing warbands seems a safe bet), Necromunda (who knows!), Warhammer Underworlds and Middle Earth.

So apparently, quite a lot. But no Adeptus Titanicus, which makes me a saaaaaad Panda.

And this thread is for the general image and info dump, for general ease of access for all concerned.

So if you’ve got a pic or a tidbit, whack it in here.

Spoiler:

Warhammer Legends are rules for the outdated armies/models that didn't survive the transition from Warhammer Fantasy Battle to Age of Sigmar:
https://www.warhammer-community.com/legends/

No idea what they update about them on NOVA is though. Are they going to squat even more armies?

We'll find out soon enough eh.

There's apparently another meh mobile game with the WHF brand tacked on to it coming out - if GW actually have the sack to get up on stage and try and sell that to WHF fans as some big comeback using the Legends slot, I'll actually be a little bit impressed.

I expect the new skellies won't have any more resemblance to Tomb Kings than being an all(or mostly) skellie army. That said, there have been vague hints in the art of a somewhat asian flavour to them, which could be interesting even for WHF fans(not the Cathay models people wanted, but hey, take what you can get right ).

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?

Given that the High Elves just got purged from the store en masse, I'd expect them to be added to Legends.

And unless that move comes with an announcement they're actually going to be making the Legends models available again on a more consistent basis than occasional MTOs of old metal and finecast stuff, meh? I mean, I'm sure there are still some people out there who love their WHF armies enough to want to keep them intact and whole, who also like the AoS ruleset, and who don't mind being booted out of the Matched Play part of the game, but I can't imagine there's all that many. Most folk will have either moved on to an AoS faction, gone back to playing one of the old editions of WHFB(or its non-GW successors), or just counts-as their WHF models as an AoS army.

Surely they can't think "there's another shovelware game coming" or "here's some half-arsed rules for all the models we just removed the ability for you to buy" is something that deserves a slot, however minor, on a convention marketing blowout thing? NuGW, whatever else you can say about them, seem pretty on-point with their marketing so far, sticking Legends on a con schedule and then "announcing" basically nothing seems like a total own goal.

The game has already been announced. It is a mobile mmo called Warhammer Odyssey. I don't expect much from the Warhammer legends announcement, but new Death, the awakening, a new necromunda gang, a new warcry warband and a new underworlds warband or two will more than enough to make a great presentation.

It could be Legends in relation to Black Library.
They might be doing a load of old books back, or even a new range of stories told in the old world (less likely)..

for legends I just expect a bunch of units to be announced to go there, perhaps even tomb kings if there is enough crossover with the upcoming dead faction unit wise.
Because based on the trailer it has catapult, so archer's aren't that big of stretch

It would actually be kind of funny if they announced "new iconic units added to Warhammer Legends" as a thing, when they actually announce they stop supporting a chunk of their old range.

It would fit with their new selfconcious humor, I think.

Kill Team is suspiciously absent from that list. I was hoping that a new starter set and FAQ update might mean something new was coming for the game.

It's possible that they're not listing it because they're planning on making a big push next year with revising/retweaking the available boxes and the like.

Warhammer Legends will almost assuredly be whatever units were cut out from Cities of Sigmar.

Sort of?

We got news about Orks, Sisters, Knights, Kill Team, Warhammer Underworlds, web-comics, an Age of Sigmar box, LotR and Blackstone Fortress.

You can find the wrap up here.

I don't know if there are still Minis missing from the Shire book, if yes that would be my guess. Other than that it could also be the catapult Troll.

For 40K I'd say the next SM suppliments. They could surprise us with a Corvus Corax to go along the Ravenguard one something revolving around Psychic awakening or a date for the SoB Codex seems more likely though.

With Psychic Awakening, I'm really hopeful it's just as much of an addition like Dark Imperium was to 2nd Edition 40k.

But I'm also hoping, praying, that this means a fully supported Sisters of Silence faction in 40k. Please, I want my null maidens with broadsword BADLY!

I’m just hoping it’s more than just a 40k version of Endless Spells.

That's one of the things that people didn't seem to 'get' from the Malign Sorcery boxed set and what it added.

It wasn't just Endless Spells. It also included a whole slew of Realm specific relics, some Realm specific spells, and a whole new setup for Path to Glory to let you play 'at the Realm's Edge', hunting for Realmstone.

I could easily see Psychic Awakening bringing in some 'conditional' relics/traits/powers, the Warpstorm stuff that we got in The Fall of Cadia book, and some 'Endless Powers' that aren't really faction specific.

They said everyone will get something iirc. If it's akin to Endless spells then even non psyker factions got those.

Did they say that? Or did they say "Everyone will have a reason to be excited", which is entirely different because they expect you to be excited about having new enemies/dangers to face on the table and stuff.
Count the number of time they said "Everyone will have a reason to be excited" but there were no release for some factions.

Just got an email from Black Library with a book cover that has a stylistic Astra Telepathica symbol mixed with an Aquila on it.

It's for Blackstone Fortress.

Here's to hoping that Psychic Awakening is just a Blackstone Fortress expansion.

Do you mean "The Warp's Curse" short story?
Because that's about the Primaris Psyker that's in the "Escalation" expansion and the Purifier.

I only ask as apparently I'm not subscribed to the Black Library newsletter anymore, but that short story is listed as "New" and has what you're talking about.
