Id say it was made that way to make it a bit more durable, as small details that stick up like that tend to be quite fragile in resin.

Nod. They're not solid posts. They're notched (for want of a better term) on the inside.

I'd love to see an EBR variant with a more substantial scope. And the correct AGL (FN-40) for the SCAR instead of a 203.

Whch is more or less why I didn't simply assume it was a sight post... because it looks like a solid block.

Obviously (given that it's a side-on view) that may be mistaken... but if it is a sight, unless it's hollow through the middle it's far too big. And appears to be missing the corresponding rear sight.

nice stuff. Still want the backpack guns!!!!!

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

I don't know if the CH model's front iron sight is a solid block or not (it probably is). But on modern railed rifles the rear sight is often a separate attachment you can have or not have just like an ACOG or Reflex, while the front one is "built onto" the gun.

Admittedly, on the M14/21, the Iron sights are indeed built into the gun, and the scope would typically be further forward than on this rifle.

Neato guns. I like the ones that don't really resemble Lasguns.

Having made the 3D models I can say it is a solid block. Only so much you can do when you have to worry about minimum thicknesses. The Scar and M21 both have rails with a reflex sight mounted to the scar and a scope on the M21. Because of size, its not practical to do them as separate pieces. In general I modeled off of the actual rifles both from pictures I was provided as well as going out and "playing" with the real things... beyond that I just had to make some modification to keep it "heroic" scale for compatibility.

will there be a full line of lava bases or just this one size? I'm only going to purchase them if they come in different sizes.

1) Your painter does not appear to know how to paint lava.
2) He sure-as-hell knows how to paint crystals, though.

Why thankyou

I painted the lava the same way as I did on all my minis in the gallery. To bad nobody had any problems with those lol
But ok, for the next time I´ll change the way i paint the lava but I am pretty satisfied with the crystals though so those will stay the same.

It kind of depends on how they sell since they took quite some time to sculpt but I´ll talk it over with Nick, maybe I´ll sculpt up a complete set of different sized lava bases, it also depends on time allocation and I feel there are more people pushing for the tru-scale marines at the moment then more lava bases so priority also needs to be considered.
We actually do listen to what the players and customers want and need and hopefully as many as possible will be satisfied.

Ive had some sets of the SCARs and EBRs for over a month now.

Good sculpts.

Still and trying to figure out how to get the EBR in a IG hand
with how the stock works...

The SCARs are easy though....

Likely you will have to also shave down parts opf the stocks to make them fit the IG arms.

I was just wondering what sort of work I'd have to do to convert some DKoK Grenadiers with miscast guns into decent Stormtroopers. Once again Nick comes to the rescue with some sweet resin. Bless you.

Of course (re: thickness). The M14/21 loses some of its recognisable shape due to the way you've set up the rail on it though, since the rails are usually either mounted forward or on a seperate rail above the receiver, but without impacting the rear sights area. It's a nice weapon, just not quite as good as the SCARs.

Couple of new things added to the site while I was working on the new websites content..

Abbithan Banshees Guardswoman 12 figure conversion set - $18.50 contains all the pieces you need (except arms and weapons ) to make some female guardsmen. Love them or hate them, vote with your wallet.

More photos can be seen in earlier post and they will have new photos when I get a chance to take them.

Death (Dark) Angel Shield - $2.00
I showed this one a while back but sadly I forgot about it and its finally on the website.

Lastly I have a plain old Chained Shoulder pad - $1.00
I expect this one to be a big seller .

I spoke to my primary casting company today. They have 3 molds running on each of the Storm Raven Conversion kit, Conversion Beamer kit, Wheeled Chimera Kit and the Death Angel Land Raider doors. I expect 20 or so to be shipped out this friday and at least 50-60 to arrive the week after. Also the company I was working with before told me they shipped 7(! ) of each of the above kits last week and I hope to see those tomorrow or friday for immediate shipping.

This will mean all the Storm Ravens will have shipped and I will have a jump start on the remaining waiting kits shipping as well.

Thank you everyone for your patience.

Not a fan of the women but I like the shield alot.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Like these? Oh yes, all Storm Raven Extension Pre-orders are now shipped and accounted for. I am now in the process of stock-piling them for the release in a couple of weeks. I want to have at least 100 in hand before I put the for general sale. Even then I dont think they will last more then 2-3 days from the amount of emails I get daily.

Wheeled Chimeras, Conversion Beamers and Death Angel LR Doors are also ramping up in production and I expect to be able to ship at least 30 of them next week (I shipped 7 wheeled kits this week, slow slow outsourced resin company.).

Those are probably the best female conversions I've seen so far. Too bad IG got yanked out as Sisters of Battle allies, I'd have loved these in my Witchunters force. I'll still get some though

Much better looking as the painted ones weren't that great. I do wish the sculptor would do small arms too go on them though as they are a bit butch otherwise..
