colours if I use the southwest USA I could use any colour Black, red, grey, sand/buff, green, orange... so many to choose from

Wanted to put an update out there.

We had some hiccups with the resin caster assigned to these new kits (same issue as Dreamforge's Crusader casting). I now have a tried and true caster on the job, and am confident we will be on track in a week or two.

All pre-ordered Storm Ravens except one customer (sorry Matt E.) will have shipped out by tomorrow. By next week I hope to have all the Storm Raven pre-orders shipped. I hate the fact we were put so behind on these kits. It really was something I had no control over.

I am hoping to have all back-ordered new kits shipped out in 2 weeks and have enough stock of the Storm Raven conversion kit to put it on the site for general sale in 2-3 weeks.

Yours is the last one we have to ship out. Regardless of the emails I recieve daily, I can not in good faith presell anymore kits. I am committed to now stockpiling at least 100 kits for the general release (I expect those to last days.. if the emails are any indication). Hopefully we will be better prepared for these.

To tell the truth, we expected to have tons of new kits in hand by now, but we are using a different caster that promised higher numbers and lower cost then the one we have always used. Naturally we strive for the best cost to rpoduce as that means the kits are lower cost for you all and still make us money on the sale. Well the cost was there, but when we ordered 50 kits to be delivered in 2 weeks time, it took 3 months. I have learned much from this experience and will never believe production promises without a written contract. Oh yeah, always have a back-up caster ready as well.

So how about that new website and them Tru-Scale Marine kits?

Also must say, that raven conversion kit is great, makes it into a nice looking ship.

Anyone want to see our first attempt at bases? We had numerous request for the lava bases shown on some of our models we decided to dip our feet into the water and try some Lava and small crystal bases.

These are priced about the same as the rest of the bases on the market, 10 bases for $11.00.

Ill be putting these on the website this weekend.

Hey, Nick. Nice looking bases.
A few observations:

1) Your painter does not appear to know how to paint lava.
2) He sure-as-hell knows how to paint crystals, though.
3) I see that half the batch has crystals and half does not. Will these be available as 1 lot of 5 & 5, or will lots of "all crystal" and "no crystal" be available?

Any updates on the female guard shown earlier in this thread? The pair Commissar count-as look rather nice, but it seems that there's been no news updates on them, or a few other minis pictured here on the ChapterHouse Studios webpage. 0.o

I'm going too agree with Magic as the lava looks pretty bad but the crystals rocks actually. Point of obseration though those bases aren't very practical for having models on them. You have a lot of raised areas ,by the pictures, and very off balanced so models won't be able too fint easily without people having too shave the bases down in certain areas too get them to fit. Just something too think about for the future though,

The painted lava looks like velveteen sheets.

Regardless, it's nice that you're going int the Resin bases market. Could we get an unpainted picture of those bases? Are you going to sell them in two different products - with and without crystals?

Prices are fair and quality is there. Seems like a nice impulse buy next time I grab some bits from Chapterhouse.

To be more specific, the lava is reversed- it should be brighter in the recesses where it is closest to the molten material and darker on the raised areas as it cools.

I am constantly impressed with the chapterhouse models. Love it

The muzzle brake or whatever it is on the sniper rifle's barrel appears to be in the way of the scope.

Other than that, the rifles are all lovely sculpts, although the paintjobs there aren't doing them any favours.

I really like the sniper rifles and SCARs, would look pretty cool on any model, i am thinking space marines for some reason.

Just for the sake of it, that aint a muzzle brake. A muzzle brake is a hole drilled into the barrel, or on heavier weponry a special collar (i.e. that snub nose on a barret)

All these rifles are designed to fit IG standard arms/hands, I presume? (As opposed to e.g. orks or marines.) I like the autoguns a lot.

Not personally keen on the lava bases - seems too easy to make something like that myself - but if there's a market for them, go for it.

Yeah, I know what a muzzle brake is... I just wasn't as sure what that thing on the rifle's barrel was intended to be.

Its a front sight post insainiak, and believe it or not that is how they sit in real life.

Liking the looks of the rifles myself.

They look great, especially the SCAR Variants. If I didn't think Cadians were some of the ugliest models I've ever seen, I would use them for all my infantry.

Not sure if he was shooting for it or not but it bares a striking resemblance too a M-14 that is still used today by Squad Designated Marksmen in the U.S military, but left common soldier service in the early vietnam war.

Either way honestly Nick... I give you guys a lot of credit as these are pretty good.

The lava bases also look nice too!
