Well I'm not sure about inches for bases - but the plastic GW contemptor comes with a 60mm same as other dreadnoughts. For the Deredeo and Leviathan I'm not sure. They're significantly larger than most dreads but smaller than a Redemptor. I would say go for either a 90mm base as a good bet.

I think 80mm for a Levi... no idea about the rest...

Deredeo's, Leviathans, and Redemptors (including the new Invictus) are 80mm.

Contemptors and classic Box-nauts are 60mm.

Definitely right for the Leviathan, Deredeo, Contemptors and regular, I measured mine, except Redemptors are on 90mm bases, both sorts, and GW says the Warsuit is 90mm also.

Whelp, looks like I got the wrong sized base with mine then! Honestly 80mm felt big enough that I didn't even question it.

I don't believe the difference is that meaningful in 8th edition. Since there's no more blast templates, the smaller surface area is no longer a benefit, so the slightly smaller footprint will be meaningful only in close combat.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

Weird.

Maybe there was a packaging mistake in the export boxes, the difference is quite small and its only because the ETB based looked bigger that I measured it.

It wouldn't be the first time that FW has packed the wrong base for a model, and if you don't have a 90 mm base handy to compare, I could easily see how you'd give an 80 a look and go "yeah, that seems right."

The supply does not get to make the demands.

Absolutely, I only measured and compared because it looked bigger than I expected.

That's what she said :-)

And back on topic... I went ahead and ordered some 80mm bases. $1.5 each including shipping... ouch!

BTW to correct my original post, I ordered 2 contemptors, 1 leviathan and 1 deredeo and they all came on 60mm bases, except 1 contemptor actually had a 80mm base and I got real confused about whats correct.
