Subject: Any Slaanesh dragons?

One Canoptek Scarab in a Swarm

I tried to talk some of my students into starting a 40k club, but somehow they got me to start a Dungeons and Dragons club.
I plan on rolling a Tiefling Sorcerer. My background is from the 40k universe though.
Quick back story (in its beginning stages): I was a part of a Slaanesh army, possessed by a demon, leading an attack on a space marine outpost. Our forces were going to attack through a portal that was opened. After entering the portal instead of ending up where we planned to attack, I ended up in the DnD universe with only minor recollections of my past. I know I served Slaanesh, I know I was gifted with claws. My possession in the world that I came from manifested itself by giving me a Tiefling form and also granting me my sorcerer power. My motivation/goal in this new DnD world is to find some traces of Slaanesh and to earn my precious claws back.
Although I feel that a Wild Magic sorcerer would fit this back story better, from a gameplay point of view I would like to have a Draconic Bloodline. I was thinking that the leader of my Slaaneshi army could be some sort of dragon. Other than that I'm not really sure how to tie the Slaanesh background to the Draconic Bloodline. I was hoping that there was some famous Slaaneshi dragon character I could claim to have served under.
I know very little of 40k lore, I just like playing the game. For DnD I think the back story is really important, though, so I want to get it right.
Also, if I do go with a Draconic Bloodline, I need to choose a color of dragon that I'm descended from, each of which has an associated damage type. The damage types are fire, lightning, acid, poison and cold. Which of these seems the most Slaaneshi?

A Slaanesh-themed character in a game with students sounds like a problem waiting to happen. Even someone wandering by a catching an out-of-context bit of dialogue can potentially raise all sorts of red flags.
40k doesn't particularly have dragons.
I'd suggest having a real discussion with the other players/DM about the themes you're rather randomly tossing into a D&D game, and if they even want out-of-universe characters shoe-horned in.

agreed. speaking as a long time D&D player nothing annoys me more then that guy who shoehorns something from a completely differant game into the game because he secretly wanted to play something differant.
Once had someone ask to play a Furry in MECHWARRIOR of all things

A Slaaneshi daemon prince, especially one with wings, could easily be mistaken for a 'dragon' by someone from another reality, so that could be your dragon character. Fulgrim himself could be your character's former lord, as he has a very reptilian appearance. I personally think that acid would work the best, as it would cruelly deform someone instead of just killing them outright, and Slaanesh is very much into inflicting extreme pain on his/her victims. You do have to remember that Chaos is not just physically very powerful, but deals very much with people's fears, desires, and neuroses. Take into consideration that a Slaaneshi army would not just have daemonic powers, but would be filled with addicts and maniacs obsessed with experiencing as much as possible their vice of choice, to the exclusion of almost anything else.

That's a good point, I appreciate it. I don't focus on the more "adult" aspects of Slaanesh. I like the look of the models, the colors and the lovely claws. I do agree someone could take offense.
I don't feel that I've randomly tossed something in, I wanted something that I felt connected to so that I could get into the game more, rather than come up with some story based in a universe I know nothing about. DM likes the idea, as does another long time D&D player that I asked some advice from.

As I said above, I wanted something that I felt connected to. We are a group of new players looking for some fun, I don't think anyone will get too annoyed.

Thanks, I like the idea of both Fulgrim and acid.

A couple notes: Firstly, there is no "D&D universe". There's a number of more common premade settings, but nothing universal. Each DM will have a preferred setting they use, some of which are unique to that DM.
Secondly, while asking your group is best, planar shifting and dimension hopping is fairly common in D&D, so it's entirely possible/plausible/within reason that a Slaaneshite could randomly pop up in some D&D plane.
Glad to see you have a good group that's willing to work your character and back story in, it's frustrating when you come up with something interesting and work it all out and suddenly you're told it doesn't fit and you wasted all your effort.
