So this came to Netflix and featured on my home screen.
The 100 years war is one of my current interests so this theme and the trailer made me instantly watch it.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I know now it's based more on Shakespeare than on historical accuracy, but still. It made a good watch, dialogue was never dull, but always kept me interested. Action sequences were well made, great shows of plate armour. Henry's character developement always made sense.

There are a few cuts, where I wished for a bit more explanation or sequences in between, most memorable at the beginning when the Hotspurs turn rebels and at the end when it basically cuts from the fields of Agincourt to the French king's surrender.

Pretty solid movie. Nothing groundbreaking, but a good film.

I just finished it after a few false starts where I got distracted. Really enjoyed it. Netflix seems to be really great at making medieval movies. The look and feel of the battles is always great in their offerings.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

It's a solid movie, if anything though it sold me on Chalamet being a good pick for Paul Atreides in next years Dune.

I thought Joel stole the movie.

Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

This. The lad has much more serious chops than I thought. Also watching Robert Pattinson playing a French dandy fall on his face in the mud and get knifed by a bunch of peasants will never, ever get old.

He did a fantastic job sending up the comedic dunce that Falstaff was in the Shakespeare telling.

I liked it. I view everything in it as fiction except for the battle, but thought the battle was excellent, especially showing the effect of the mud / bog on the horse. Plus, yes, I haven't seen this much full plate since Excalibur and thought that was excellent.

Now I have to research. I thought this level of armor was in the 1300s. If this is 1415 we're watching just about the height of armor before archebuses / pike and shot formations start changing everything.

Will definitely have to check this out, consider it added to my watchlist. Did a high school history report on the battle of Agincourt way back in the day, so would be cool to see that represented on screen.
