Yeah you can lose the UK in several US wildlife parks/reserves. It's many many times the size and thus for even a casual store coverage it would demand many more retail outlets.

UK GW is basically fully expanded into most regions. There's a few here and there where it would be nice to have a GW store, but they cover most of the major urban areas (its more your large towns and smaller that they aren't in and honestly with the highstreet the way it is that is no shock)

Even in most towns for me, I can run into a GW without really trying. Though, in all fairness, all GW stores tend to be in a similar kind of place within a town.

I've seen them steadily move a bit over the years. From the middle of the main highstreet to the "not quite as nice but still sort of close to the highstreet" bit. They basically aim to be on the main or secondary or at the end of the highstreet. Cheaper rent, but not so far out that they lose the walk-in footfall traffic. Basically there's no point them being right out in the sticks where you have to know its there to find it; they need you to find them by accident regularly in order to make up the trade in new customers walking in and advertising.

The local GW in Bury is a bit like that. It helps that there is a local pub just a few steps away...

That actually reminds me that its somewhat odd to me that GW hasn't paid with starbucks or subway or one of the other major food outlet chains to share rent. Food and table and gaming under one roof would be a way to spread the load on rents; however I suspect the main issue is that they'd need bigger sites in general for every store doing that

However it seems tobe the model that many independent stores are going down - almost being more a food outlet with games.

Dual-use gaming stores have always seemed to do better than pure game stores. Mixed market and shared costs, as said. When lunch traffic dies down, get more tables out...

Plus lets face it if you're having a gaming night or just gaming in general that's a good hour plus of being around. Even just casual drinks can make a profit on you. Warhammer games might likes 2-3-4 hours or more. That's easily time to get a snack within.

Even if GW stores just got a drinks and food vending machine

Fortress world of Ostrakan

Only if they opened one store in Prague, that would be a blast. The closest is in Linz and Dresden. And Warsaw, I think...

More stores in mainland Europe, not just Germany. Not really a surprise that.

It's pretty weird that there is no GW in Prague, since it's so close to THE MOST 40K PLACE EVER!!!!!
