Suffering from a bit of Marine Fatigue so I dug out an unpainted Necron Overlord that had been inhabiting a cabinet for 7 odd years.





About 3 hours from start to finish, not counting putting texture paint on the base. A bit messy in places but the monochrome scheme conceals my sins.

That’s neat. I like the aqua to vibrant orange contrast you’ve got between the model and base.

Yeah, it's a dark scheme overall so it really needs the contrast.

Decided to do a Spyder as well.

Yes, it's Terradon Turquoise Contrast (cut in half with medium) over silver. Then Basilicanum Grey (again, cut in half with medium) over that to darken it a touch. Then edge highlights and details with Sybarite Green, then Gauss Blaster Green. It's like 5 paints aside from primer (grey).

Edit: Come to think of it, it's basically ideal for painting while away from home. Carrying 5-6 paints is nothing.

Looking really cool for such an easy paint job. Necrons are great for this kind of thing.

I'm tempted to do another Christmas break project with them. I have a lot of Necrons left over from an abandoned 5th edition army idea.
