I'm honestly pretty surprised to be making an account on a (mostly) single-interest forum in the decade of social networking, but reading through here prior to account registration put a smile on my face.

The WH40k reddit seems like a bad place to ask questions, as its mostly people showing off masterworks or new pieces, so this seemed like the best logical step.

I'm new to the game - Never even seen a match played. I'm putting together and painting a Dark Vengeance boxset that I received as a gift in 2016. I never had the time to get into it between finishing my accounting degree and working, though, until lately.

I haven't posted on a forum regularly since maybe 2011 - Hopefully all the etiquette has stayed with me, haha.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but there's been a new version of the game released since the Dark Vengeance box set. So, if you're looking to start playing, don't waste too much time reading and learning the bundled rules... Sorry...

Welcome brother! Been playing and painting astra militarum for about a year and a half now. Definitely go check out a local store for games! That's how I got sucked in played my first ITC tournament today. Draw lose lose haha. But well worth the fun and experience. I did win best painted!
