Could be that they saw the Astartes fan-film project and just threw it all in the trash?

Those Astartes short films are amazing. Really don't know why they didn't pick that dude up to do their television series.

Now don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the Helsreach series... But Astartes is on a whole different level of quality.

They have entirely different art styles; Helsreach is an animated Blanche drawing, Astartes is more like the miniatures come to life. Each has their merits.

I wouldnt mind the feel of Helsreach and the look of Astartes.

Hopefully we'll see something soonish????

I am equally excited about Eisenhorn but I think that's still a way off.

I couldn't find the specific thread for the Astartes animations so apologies for hijacking this one.

In case people didn't know the creator of Astartes has had his Youtube account hacked. :(

he appealed to Youtube to get his own account back.... and failed!!

There is currently an appeal on Twitter etc to get Youtube to reverse their decision and allow the original creator to get his account back.

Details here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkZEIqE55wM

This is quite a big deal as his account has a lot of subscribers and views and it would take a lot of work to get them back.

I noticed this the other day.
It's a real shame but it's something the community seem to simply not give a damn about.

No surprise considering the fanbase these days.

Reddit and youtubers are reaching out. There's a twitter campaign going on for it. People do care. Youtube, however, seems indifferent

YouTube is an atrocious system and seems hell bent on getting worse. I wouldn't hold hope honestly.

It’s got nothing to do with the community? They’ve been petitioning YouTube. Not much more they can do.

This is actually occurring a lot lately - loads of channels have been hacked and stolen and YouTube hasn't done gak to help or fix them. The sad thing is they also steal the entire google account, so emails, etc. YouTube has more or less been incredibly indifferent (but that's their style they're now aiming more towards large corporations and abandoning the 'small' personal channels in pursuit of big company money. This has been a trend for a year or more now.
