Basically it's a set of large terrain tiles (one 12x8", two 9x6", four 6x6", four 6x4") and 40 individual 60mm bases of terrain. The bases go on the tiles to give the appearance of dense jungle, and then can be removed to allow units to actually occupy the terrain.

My local group treats dense forests/jungle as LOS-blocking, so the tiles can be used for determining LOS, while the bases themselves are just for decoration.

Nice work, and good use of the colours. A lot of fish-plant jungles look far too plastic and far too bright.

Also, "area" jungle and forest is 100% the way to go for games. We do the same thing with our forests on the table. A general outline and just move and shift the trees around as needed for game purposes.

I recognize some of these plants used for the smaller stuff, but where did you get those palm trees? I've been hunting around for good options to no avail.

Thanks; everything you see received a fair bit of airbrush work to get a more realistic appearance (darkened undersides, lightened tops). Getting rid of the plastic look takes some work but I think was well worth it.

These are the ones. They're by far the cheapest usable palm trees I've found.

Gotcha, definitely agree with airbrushing or painting up the stuff. Definitely works better. I did chuckle at the amazon listing - see that they've photoshopped their trees into random train layouts? Glad to know they're good/worthwhile ones!

Sick! These are amazing, I have a full 2nd edition catachan jungle fighter army I just made a year ago and have recently started painting at again and I really want a good jungle table to play on, this should work perfectly.

Thanks for the link to the trees, I have looked all over with more confusion on which to by then success so you really saved me a headache!

Did you buy a mix of set 1 and set 2 or just focus on one? Great work on the air brush as well BTW.

I reckon you're gonna get a lot of models left behind.

Just style 1; I have no idea how style 2 compares.
