Subject: [KillTeam] 'ow to start da Revolushun? How do you play an Gretching/Grot only Killteam?

Hi everyone!
I always loved goblins/gretchin/grots and now with the red gobbo finally getting a Model which I can use to convert my Gretchin Leader, I was wondering how you actually play a Grot-only Killteam.
Aren't Killteams 20 models max? With Grots I'd only get to 60 points and only had one specialist besides my leader, since you are not allowed to have duplicate specialists.
So, fellow members of da kommitee, 'ow do ya do it?

100pts is only the limit and so a 60 point game is fine. You can boost both the Leader and Scout to level 4 which would take them up to 84 points.
Personally, I think its wise to recruit a Burna/loota or two to help support the group.

In short, you don't.
It is pretty clear to me that Kill Team saw this sort of thing as being too disruptive and put controls to prevent it. Don't interpret me as a killjoy though. I have ran Ork teams with some half-a-dozen grots before, and I regularly play 15-20 teams. Big kill teams can be a bit of slog for both players as your first movement turn is easily going to be double to quadruple the time of your opponent's which makes Kill Team feel much slower that it is. Breaking the field-able team size could very easily make the game a tedious slog and will break several missions with a skew list (which I think even 18-20 man teams are).
Staying in the confines of 20 field-able units, I don't really see many games being anything more than an activity since they will probably be decided before rolling. Even in playing them, they can become an exercise in frustration playing find the grot as they are small models and just about anything hides them completely. Outside a couple of goofy games, I can't see many opponents finding much fun in these games. There really has to be some sort of contest to winning involved past a couple of times or it will probably get boring.
If you really want to run a bunch of gretchin, I suggest building an Ork list maybe with some heavy hitters like Nobs, Flash Gits and or Meganobs and using a lot of the left over points to get to gretchin. I probably wouldn't field more than 6 or so gretchin. That way you at least have something that can pack a wallop and even the grots might be useful with the Grot Shield Tactic. Another idea is to still have a more standard boyz heavy team dropping a couple to get double their number in gretchin. Please note, these are still is a long, long way from a competitive team. Just more of something that might pose a threat in a casual game.
Again, I don't want to rain on your fun here, but I do want to make sure you are also thinking about your opponent's potential fun too.

Or, do some interesting counts-as. Two man grot heavy weapon team as a flash git, killa kan as a meganob, etc.

You do this if you actually want to win.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."
This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

This is an interesting idea! You can't give grots any weapons though, right? How many of the wee blighters could you get if you (hypothetically) ignore the model count limit and just spend all yer points?

How do you play an all-Grot Kill Team? Rules for KT don't support it.
Which is why we have Necromunda Venator gangs... *cough*

Thank you for you answers!
Yeah, I figured it would be hard to play an all Grot team, so I might go the route of counts-as, like Scott suggested:
