I have a problem with using the GW spray primers for contrast paints.

If I spray it on the miniature feels slick and rubbery when the primer dried. If I try to put contrast paints on the paint behaves like water on a water repellent jacket. Instead of covering an area it gather to a single drop.

Anyone have an idea Why the primer gets so rubbery? Is it temperature?

don't use GW primers, had a flame of war one behave exactly the same, ended up having to 'scrub' the surface with a toothbrush and soapy water (gently) to remove what felt like rubbery wax on the top.

no idea what caused it, sprayed another colour from the same range on the same day and it was fine - could be a batch problem

Try running the can under hot water for a bit, that can fix quite a bit of problems
