@MajorTom11 - I am so glad that those images look good close-up, because I took them on my Pixel 1.... and I know you're going to have words with me about that

Hey folks, I am here and lurking. I am always lurking, but things at Secret Weapon (and home life) have been so busy for the past two years that I haven't really painted, or had time to breathe.

LET THE MADNESS BEGIN!

Also, thank you all for the questions, feedback, and theme suggestions (okay, demands... it's all good.).

PS: NURGLE! Yes, we have ideas in the queue... you can totally stop filling my inbox with requests

PPS: Remember, followers of Nurgle must be patient for the rot to spread... into... other themes?

As we can see, the models are solid tabletop but by no means any pro-paint, and if I can say, are not suffering at all from being on high quality images in terms of the base design.

I just realized that you said that my paint jobs aren't "pro-paint," and... well... I just have to agree with that

Star Wars has their own sizes, and we can't justify the tooling cost for bases that only fit a single game. Plus, we'd likely need a license, which is a special challenge for Star Wars... but if there's enough demand, it's something we can explore.

Themes for Infinity, you say? Why, that is a VERY good idea, and we will be making you very, very happy

The target is noon Pacific (GMT-8) but that may bump slightly if we have any last minute tweaks to make... like the fact that I'm about the re-shoot the intro video.

Sure enough, it looks like we will now launch at 2 PM Pacific (GMT-8) as we are waiting on videos to render, upload, and encode.

THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME!

We're just waiting on the final video at this point... and everyone is having an adrenaline crash since we can't do much beyond wait.

I can share that the first two stretch goals are Rolling Fields and Desert Mesa

Thank you all very much for your understanding... and passionate support. Hitting refresh? I LOVE YOU TOO!

Again, thank you all for understanding that when one of the very few components that are completely out of our control go sideways... well....... yeah.

SOON!

We are certainly looking at the possibility of printing on larger surfaces

Thank you all for the incredible feedback, and enthusiasm.

The delay has also allowed us to finalize our SECOND partnership announcement.

I have pounds, and pounds of old metal Sisters... and you can bet we've got 28mm bases for me to put them on

One thing to remember with shipping is that these are VERY LIGHT -- effectively the weight of a blank plastic base. We're working to get the best USPS and UPS rates for everyone, but as MajorTom11 said our situation in the EU is in flux as our distribution points are in Nottingham, England, which doesn't do us as much good as it used to.

Actual shipping weights will be applied to each product, and only actual shipping costs will be charged -- there will be no handling fee.

Well, we launch in sixteen hours and we're as ready as any Kickstarter can be.

Thank you all again for your enthusiasm, and feedback, as we prepared the campaign... launched it... and now relaunch it.

Keep your hands, firearms, and tactical gear inside the vehicle at all times... this is going to be one heck of a ride!

We're working on a graphic now to show the size/quantity/price information. Apologies for not including it on launch, and thank you for your patience.

So you pledge $1 and then increase it based on the stuff you want? I was expecting something more like a bundled pack of bases of all different sizes, the separate stuff as add-ons. I think that would have been easier, some folks might just pledge the $1 and forget. I'm in for the town square but will change to urban streets if they get unlocked

We're adding a graphic now to show all size/quantity/price info on the main page -- but I didn't want to offer bundles because it ties people into things they DON'T want, which is one of my chief frustrations with Kickstarter campaigns. This way you pledge for the sizes/themes/quantities you want, and bring that number back. You get EXACTLY what you want -- more or less

I fully own leaving these important graphics off of the launch list. They're mentioned in the rewards, but... well, they're here now. Better pricing than resin bases, and ready to go!

@Flinty -- those graphics are a late addition which I totally forgot to put on the pre-launch checklist. They're mentioned in the rewards, but... 100% my derp.

All corrected now

I also am very fond of the ala carte approach.

OMG thank you! One of the things I hate about Kickstarter is being saddled with things I don't want.

I want people to order EXACTLY what they want, bring that value back to KS, and keep it rolling. No bundles required.

Thank you all for the feedback - and for the team behind the scenes keeping up while I was at GAMA. I came back early, and we're putting our heads together to ensure that our next update will provide you with all of the best options. Your feedback has been invaluable.

Many thanks to all of you that provided us with such valuable feedback during the initial campaign. I cannot truly express the depth of my gratitude for your enthusiasm and support through all of this.

The reboot is going to be amazing, entirely thanks to you.

Many thanks to MajorTom11 for..... too much to account for, frankly.

@aphyon - we'll get a round lip option into the PM for those. Thanks for pointing that out.

I've been quiet on the update front due to some massive changes in the world that you might have seen in the news. As a result of COVID-19 it was necessary to focus my attention on furloughing my employees, and working with legal/accounting/etc. to ensure that we would be able to have jobs for my team when the shelter in place is lifted. A shout out to our Production Manager Richard (8 of 10 years with us), Lindsey (7 years), Nolan (5 years), Michael (1 year), and Sean (new seasonal) who make up the entire SWM team -- we're a very small company -- and are now joining so many others in uncharted waters.

The good news is that I will be able to go into the warehouse soon with my wife, son, and friend sheltering with us in tow. We will be able to keep SWM up and running so that hobbyists still get orders, and my team should all have jobs waiting. We're keeping in touch as well in case anyone gets into a tight spot.

So my apologies for losing focus on the KS for a couple of days. I'm back at the keyboard again with my eyes on this. I've done everything I can at this point on the other fronts, and feel much better about the situation than I did on Friday.

We are already exploring ideas for Titanicus (which I desperately want to play!) and MajorTom has pointed out that themes like Martian Menace have no scale references.

I'm totally in on this idea.

COVID-19 UPDATE
Secret Weapon Miniatures, Inc.
Sacramento, CA
26-March-2020

Good news! As one of the owners of Secret Weapon I am allowed to return to my warehouse to resume essential operations. In order to have enough hands to actually get orders out my household - my wife, son, and our friend Jess who is sheltering with us - will be helping me to get your orders moving again. This will not increase our exposure vector in any significant way... and it means that Secret Weapon is officially open for business.

I am working with our corporate team (accountant, lawyer, etc.) to ensure jobs for the SWM staff when the furlough is lifted. Your continued support through these uncertain times means a lot, and I will keep you all posted on the warehouse situation as we get our processes sorted out.

Keep Away And Carry On,

Today (5-April) at 1:00 PM Pacific (GMT-7) we're going to broadcast live for an hour to answer your questions while we speed paint some Reaper Bones figures, and add them to the bases.

Tomorrow (6-April) at 3:00 PM Pacific (GMT-7) we'll do another live broadcast while I work on detailing a Leman Russ for the NOVA Open Charitable Foundation raffles.

Let us know if there's anything you want to make sure we cover, and hopefully you'll be able to join us for one of the live broadcasts.

See you soon!

WOW! Thank you all so much for your support - and especially for your feedback. I had to take a little break with my family, but I wanted to make sure I stopped by Dakka to say THANK YOU again.

You are an amazing community of people, and your support, feedback, and enthusiasm for our company over the years means more to me than I can properly put into words.

For this campaign, for the others, and for just being you -- thank you.

Just a quick question - So i've got everything loaded up into the Pledge Manager, am I missing a checkout option or is it coming later? Sorry if I'm missing something obvious!

Checkout will be an option after we import backer data -- and you can still add to the order and checkout AGAIN if we add something you want. You can do this any time until we close the PM to begin final production and shipping

If you've ever used the Reaper PM this will be a familiar experience -- they made the code available to us because it so perfectly fits our needs.

Backer information has now been imported to the Pledge Manager - so if you backed you will now see your balance, etc. once you log in using your KS email address. Huzzah!

is there a reason the Infinity designs aren't available as round-lip bases?

We can certainly look at adding them if there's enough interest. As they're designed to match the boards for Infinity we figured folks would only want beveled.

I misunderstood the process -- Checkout will not be an option yet. I will get an Update posted when it is.
