Hey all
I'm currently doing a few kit bashes, using the Deathwing box set, and later a Grey Knights Paladin/Terminators box set. I've made a Deathwing Master and a Deathwing Chaplain, and I intend to make an Ordo Malleus Inquisitor in Terminator Armour.
I'm stuck on what to use for cloaks for them though.
I've used cloaks that come with the Deathwing box set for my Deathwing squad sergeants, so I'd like something that looks different for all 3 models, preferably in plastic so that it's easy to work with. I considered, and discounted, buying a Deathwatch Captain in Terminator armour and removing the cloak from that, or Master Voldus of the Grey Knights and doing the same - too expensive at £15+ for just a cloak!!.
I've also considered some of the Adeptus Custodes cloaks but I'm not sure their Terminator one's would look right (they start at the waist, possibly too long on a Deathwing/Grey Knight model?) and others (on the Custodian Wardens Shield Captain for example) seem to hang from shoulder pads so probably not easily adapted to Deathwing/Grey Knights models.
The one on the Primaris Captain model doesn't really do it for me either. Not big and flowing enough for a Deathwing/Inquisitor Terminator.
So, can anyone here offer any ideas on other parts from GW models currently available that are likely to be abundantly available, and cheap, on places like ebay, that I could use?
Thanks in advance.

Not a GW model, but could you use a variation on the traditional historical modeler's approach to flags, paper cut to the right shape, coated with watered down white glue, and shaped?

Two terminator cloaks that immediately come to mind are from the Wolf Guard terminators and the Chaos Lord in terminator armour. Pretty in-demand parts, ao you won't find them cheap but they're both nice fancy looking parts that should be along the lines of what you're after?

Might be a good opportunity to experiment with GS?
There are a lot of great tutorials online. I had done some GS work before, but this was my first cloak and I think it worked nicely.

You might use one of the old fantasy chaos warrior cloaks if you can find them. I have pics of a conversion using them.

Hope it helps. Finding may be a problem...
I have also had some luck converting plastic banners into cloaks. Banners like these:

Chaos Terminator Lord.
The cape is a separate piece.
It 'plugs in' over the square bit on the back of the torso.
