Archon are the successor to Prodos who did AvP, but their later projects have gone more smoothly, and they are now producing good quality HIPS for both terrain and minis (I backed the latest Ramparts terrain project and have been very happy with what was delivered)

but worth noting before backing

(personally I got Reichbusters so will have filled this niche when it actually delivers but that's stalled due to virus issues)

I wonder if this will go as smoothly as their Space Crusade game?!

Oh, note this is NOT available to Germany or Austria, presumably because of their legislation about the swastika, Nazi regalia etc (and unlike reichbusters which lost all offending imagery in the final production version as a licenced product it's probably not an option here)

Edit: apparently i'm wrong, the swastika has been changed to a different symbol (not ok in a toy), & the main stumbling block is apparently Hitler who could be used in a video game but again not a 'toy' from what Archon have been advised by their lawyers..... but many in the comments are clearly also lawyers as they disagree. It certainly sucks if you can't get it, but Archon wouldn't be doing this if they could sell in Germany & Austria... they like money and shipping stuff there is otherwise simple

Curious that this is a board game but the models are all injection molded snap together kits.

I've built a few of their actual starfinder plastic models as well as their Starcide (their own space based wargame) plastics. Quality obviously isn't GW levels but it is quite decent and they seem to be continuing to improve in that regard.

Space Crusade ended up just being a resin model line along with a few Unicast pieces. I think that was still under the Prodos label. I thought they took care of all the preorders on that as well?

They've been pretty consistent with the quality of their board games if people are worried about that.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Yeah, no delivery to Germany :(
But seeing that they censored the swastikas and I can't kill Nazis in it even if I could get it delivered, killed any interest in it for me.

I however would be interested in some miniatures, but they don't sell them separatel.

@Hanskrampf, ditto. I don't really want the game (Reichbusters just arrived) but some of those miniatures would be nice to add to my Weird War II German forces.

Urusei Yatsura, Cerebus the Aardvark, Machiavelli, Plato and Happy Days. So, how was your childhood?

I wonder if they'll offer up sprues as an add on at some point.

I'm sure even people who backed Reichbusters wouldn't mind some extra baddies to shoot up.

Yeah, they refunded for the board game preorders.

As much as I REALLY want to fight Mecha Hitler, I think I'm fine with facing him on the Xbox one. Speaking of Xbox, you can get 3D, New order and Old Blood on it for at least $116USD less than what they want for the NO pledge.

That, and 65 Germans(at this time) could actually derail this....

Eh, not feeling it.

But I'm genuinely glad Archon's plastic capacity is so big they can burn it for a vanity project like this.

Now if only we still had Kroothawk around so he could fly off the rails ranting about polish miniature companies and nazis.

I love the look of the miniatures and I've been desperate for some Wolfenstein SS infantry for awhile now - at the same time Kickstarter is a massive risk and I don't care for the actual Boardgame at all. Hopefully they release the miniatures independently of the boxset once they're finished.

The biggest indicator someone is a loser is them complaining about 3d printers or piracy.

Looks a bit worse than Reichsbuster mini-wise and I can't get it. I couldn't get Reichsbusters, either, because their payment site didn't work with my CC and I had waited until the last day to go into the PM. No Nazi-killing pulp board game(s) for me

Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.

Yeah, I love about half of the minis and really dislike the rest. Pity, a mecha-Hitler would be fun to add to my collection. But as I own Incursion and Reichbusters (plus a TON of Weird War II minis) I will pass.

I still think my Incursion stuff is better. Wolfenstein was OK as a video game. I wasn't jazzed over that crap new one. Especially not enough to buy a tabletop game over it.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

They've now put up the option to get the plastics pre-assembled (i'm guessing they'll be doing that themselves)

probably not of any interest for folk here but at 'only' $15 extra it may help add interest for the more traditional board game folk

I have no love for Archon, but $15 to assemble a game really isn't much for the amount of work (both to avoid it, and paying for someone else's time), assuming you're not in it for the hobby.

It's certainly a decent deal if you don't hobby

though if it's popular I worry about them getting it done on time, it's not as bad as a painted pledge level, and the stuff is meant to be designed to go together simply but still that's an awful lot of clipping and gluing
