After the last update I did "Astra Militarum" doesn't appear in the list of Imperium armies.

Anyone else have the same issue?

Do you have 7th edition on it? I had that problem recently. For some reason having 7th edition loaded up causes the guard to disappear.

I have the 7th Ed files, yes. I've never used them. Weird that that'd affect it though.

Yeah it's weird, but that's what it did to mine. Nixt the guard. Saw a post from developers on b&c, said something about couldn't have two files with the same name or something. I've reloaded the 7th edition files a couple times sense, and it did the same thing. When I erased them again and updated the files the guard came back. Dunno, I'm not a programmer.

Hope it works for you. Remember to update your data after removing 7th ed and select the "delete existing data " option. Personally I kind of liked having 7th, it let me remember how much better some of my units were without digging out my old books. 550 points for my fellblade and fleet for my contemptor *sigh*.
