Hey folks!
Hate to be a walking advertisement, but the Deathwatch RPG is currently on Humble if anyone is interested.

For reference, the core rules go for around 60.00$ on DriveThruRPG. You can get that and some extras here for around 25.00$
Happy hunting!

I sent that to one of my buddies that does a little DMing for D&D as he's a 40k dork much like a few of the friends in that group. I've been wanting to do this for a while but, while I COULD come up with an overarching story, I can't improvise in the middle of a story.
Off topic but I just did a session not too long ago with another group of friends for Call Of Cthulu and it was a blast. I was given a preset character (custom would be too long to do while all online) that was a private eye. I can't wait for this Saturdays session. We used a combination of rolld20.net for the map and Discord for talking and it was really smooth.

death watch has some pretty good adventures that could allow for a fun one shot.

All I will say is that Deathwatch is a very easy game for the players. Deathwatch Marines are powerful.
If you're GM'ing the game try to figure out quickly how much you can throw at the players. Sometimes it's a lot more than the official campaigns would have you believe.
