Hey y'all,

I bought this deff dread in like 2006 as I was starting to form a bit of an Orks/Goblins army. It was in an individual clear front package, is 100% metal, and only came with the attachments currently on it. I don't have the packaging anymore and can't find it or anything that even looks similar anywhere online.

Wondering if anyone can help identify what kind of deff dread this guy is.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Stephano

That is the original Rogue Trader Ork Dreadnought (with a newer arm stuck on).

Looks like Lascannon & Plasma Cannon (but not the Ork ones), and two claw arms.
Spoiler:

I want to say that the other arm is off an Epic Gargant, but I can't find a reference for that (it looks like it's from the Mega-Gargant, but that should be plastic).

Thanks for such quick replies guys. Super helpful. You guys really know your stuff!

Did a little more research building on what I learned from you guys and it looks like the plasma cannon is a "Heavy Plasma Gun" that the old Rogue Trader rules for Ork Dreadnaughts allowed. Saw it on an old post on a neat custom Rogue Trader Dreadnaught build. (Will link)

Looks like he has, 1x Las Cannon, 1x Bent Power Claw Arm, and 1x Heavy Plasma Cannon.

Do either of y'all know what that horizontal crane-like grabber is called?

Thanks again for all of your assistance!

That grabber looks like the one off the old plastic megagargant model on tracks (that's going back to Titan Legions days)

You're right! It looks exactly like a mega-gargant battle claw. Looks like dreadnaughts can have battle claws and in battle can either choose to attack twice with the claw or 3 times with their assault cannon (assuming they don't have the additional weapons).

This little guy is turning out to be a pretty unique poster child of the Ork's mechanical MacGyvering abilities

Once again, thank you both for your input and very helpful assistance!

Considering that model supposedly has a gretchin pilot, shouldn't this be considered a Killa Kan in the current rules instead of a Deff Dread?

It never ends well

Can confirm 100% that claw is from the mega gargant kit from titanicus.
