Seems it’s Lumineth for AoS.....and Indomitus for 40k!

Yes that does mean (article isn’t quite up. Just the headline) that we may get Indomitus and thus 9th Ed before Pariah. But we do live in Interesting Times!

Sunday Preview – A Tale of Two Boxes

The wait is nearly over. Next weekend, the Lumineth Realm-lords will, at last, make their triumphant debut in the Mortal Realms. Their jam-packed Army Set is going on pre-order, giving you the chance to secure the foundations of your collection. Lumineth Realm-lords – The Army Set
We know that for many of you, the Lumineth Realm-lords are something really special. Whether you’re a High Elf superfan of old or a newer Warhammer hobbyist who’s fallen in love with their gorgeous aesthetics, we want to make kicking off your new collection simple. That’s where the Lumineth Realm-lords Army Set comes in.

Strictly limited in quantity, the Lumineth Realm-lords Army Set contains nearly everything you need to bring a fledgling army to bear. Excited to get some more info for the Necrons this week, as well as my other armies.

I'm going to guess this means Pariah next week, which if they are doing the two-week preorder cycle means the Boxset July 18th now.

Eh no. They said nothing about pariah which means it's not coming to preorders next week. Either 9th comes before pariah or mention was just more hype for it

I think it is just the elf box on preorder. For the Indomitus box it just talks about more preview articles. I think it will be a bigger to-do and a 2 week preorder once it does drop.

Yep. More hyping of it. Being new 40k edition they will be drumming it well in advanance. It would be said more with a bang if it was coming rather than offhand after faction start set.

When I mean next week, I thought it was pretty clear I meant previews and not preorders, since I am posting in the topic about the previews for next week.... 9th coming before pariah would make zero sense. Pariah would come out on the 4th if it's preview starts next week and if the two week cycle for the boxset starts that weekend, would put it's release on the 18th.

So Lumineth boxset next week (which is a shame because I was tempted by it but now that 40K 9th is on horizon...not happening. In fact, I may sell my Gloomspite since I rarely play...1 game so far)..
Following week pariah? Not sure...still need a lot more Lumineth to come out, but that may be staggered. If pariah, we should see the characters too, all in one release.

So actual releases..
27th June..Lumineth boxset.
4th July..Pariah, characters (maybe 1-2 boxes of Lumineth)
11th July...my guess is more Lumineth.
18th July..9th edition 40K (best guess, it could be 25th but with how much they have revealed so far, I doubt it)

It's quite possible, It just seems like the end of July for release seems so far away with how they are doing all these previews. If they hadn't revealed the box so soon I would have been more inclined to think later. Keeping the hype train going for another 5 weeks seems pretty hard with all the big guns being dropped.

That being said, 1 week from a projected 18th is really not that far.

Can a set of 10 infantry, 5 cavalry and a character really be described as an "Army Set"? The Adepta Sororitas one at least vaguely resembled an army, with various different (if sometimes very small) units, but this really stretches the definition. I guess this one contains actually special dice instead...

Doesn't take genius to figure odds are damn good solo boxes announced next week.

Yeah - I dread to think how much those dice will add to the cost :-) The "Start Collecting! Slaves To Darkness Collection" is £85, and contains 1 Chaos Lord on Karkadrak, 5 Chaos Knights and 10 Chaos Warriors plus the Battletome so is roughly the same.

That set had more models, didn't have corona(remember schedule is very condensed atm. 3 month in 1...) and you didn't need full sisters to play.

Sure it's possible elves are left with useless 2 unit and hero(sisters at least were usable...and buying multiples at least was feasible). But seeing rumours say pariah 4.6 preorders, 9th 25.7 leaves 1 more week open is pretty logical. Remember the releases are coming faster now to catch up. April, may, june are coming in a month
