I was looking at stats and saw the land raider Achilles. it has the same problems with it as most land raiders, mostly too expensive and not enough durability but the Achilles is different because of its 4++. I was wondering if the combo of the Achilles and chronus would be good or if it’s still not enough to overcome the land raiders problems.

A 2+ 4++, 14w, non-degrading bs 2+, character with a thunder fire cannon and 2 twin multi meltas that regains wounds seems pretty good to me even with the high point cost.

It costs 355pts with chronus. Is it still too high a cost to be viable? I’m mostly wondering if that between the invulnerable save, the character targeting rules and the non degrading ballistics skill if it’s durable enough to be good.

Character Targeting Rules apply to characters of W9 and less.

At 10 Wounds, you can be targeted freely.

Side note, nothing in the rules says that the vehicle gains the CHARACTER keyword. Chronus and the vehicle wouldnt be protected by the character targeting rule, even if he is in a vehicle with 9 or less wounds, like a land speeder, if thats even possible.

And conversely wouldn't be at more risk when fighting Raven Guard.
