Strategic reserves have the advantage of only costing 1 CP/ 1-9 Power Level but cant arrive in the enemy deployment zone on turn 2.

Tallarn Abush costs 3CP but I can bring 3 units of whatever I want , one can be tanks, and can deploy into the enemy deployment zone ?

So Tallarn Ambush is still pretty good ?
Am I missing anything ?

I think that most reserve stratagems are going to be better than the default one. However, the disadvantage would be that you can't take a mix of units up to 3cp, just 3 units. So you could take a pair of hellhounds and 6 infantry for the same cost as ambush.
