If I lose the first turn and I have 3 Lord discordants in my deployment zone, can I use the prepared positions stratagem to give them a 1+ save? Thanks.

It isn't in the rulebook. It may be in the tournament mission pack since we haven't seen all of that and there are two pages of stratagems in there.

Isn't it in the FAQ? I've not seen anything that says the last FAQ is now off the table.

9th isn't actually out yet, when it comes out all 8th faqs will go away that has not been updated yet.

It exists here. It was a "finalized matched play rule", but as noted this edition isn't out yet so this document is still in effect until the official switch over.
It doesn't exist in the new Matched Play section so it could be a Tournament strat. If not, it will go away when they clean up.
