I picked a copy up direct from the creators, and it's excellent -- very much intended as a simpler and more tactical take on 40K (with rules for the majority of the units and armies). It plays sorta somewhere between 5th edition 40K and Infinity, but a fair bit faster. You can react to your opponents' actions; there's an easy to use and effective suppression mechanic; it's quick and easy to learn and play.
Anyone else given it a try?

I am aware of it but best I can tell it's entirely paywalled with hardcopy shipping from Sweden only, no previews whatsoever.
And the one battle report I've seen on YT was basic af.

Yeah I've not found many bat reps other than in Swedish!
Have played and enjoyed a couple of the skirmish level games though, and we're currently gearing up for a bigger battle.
I ended up buying 3 copies to save on shipping, and posting the spares to friends. But I think since then they've said they'll do free shipping on 3+ copies, which helps...

It looks interesting, but if I want speed and simplicity on my not-40k gaming, I play Grimdark Future from OnePageRules, especially because the skirmish- and army-scale versions of the game use the same rules..

Same rules for skirmish, battle, and narrative games for F28, too!
I did have a look at the OnePageRules but definitely didn't like them as much as I do F28. Each to their own, natch. I felt like they were kinda a more simple version of 5th edition, which I'm broadly on board with, but they felt less balanced than F28 and don't have the nifty reactions that I really love.
I'm vaguely tempted to pick up the actual 40K rules but I just feel like even if I do buy the core book and a codex, there will be another five books I need to pick up by the time I get round to actually playing...

For anyone interested these are now available on war game vault as a softcover book. Sadly no pdf option but I ordered it to check it out on the above recommendations.

Oh, good stuff. Let me know what you think.
Their Facebook community is friendly and helpful but I'd love to get some chat and bat reps going here, too. We should be playing a 1200 pt battle at home in the next week or two I hope, so I'll try to get some photos and a write-up done.
