Is there a rule anywhere stating how to place a model put in reserve that is bigger than 6" length and width?
A lot of super heavies dont fit in 6" deployment.

Yes, page 256 of the BRB. The paragraph literally starts with "If a model is so large that it cannot physically be set up wholly within 6" of a battlefield edge..."

Maybe there will be a FAQ covering superheavies coming in, or an added rule to the Baneblade datasheet (and others that they think would be appropriate) that the model can still do stuff on the turn it arrives. It might be a good thing to ask GW to get them thinking about it.

Or it might be completely "intended" to punish Superheavies spending more than half the game immune from being shot. Either way, it's clear what happens. Also IIRC if it has no sponsons, or both sponsons on 1 side, it can fit?

Baneblade without sponsons is ~5.5", less than 6".
