So I just started a Slaves to Darkness army
But im confused as to how the other books work when it comes to using Daemons etc with my Slaves.
For example if I want to run the army as Maggotkin but have Chaos Warriors with the mark of Nurgle do they lose their Slaves to Darkness mark rules?
Or if I run it as Diciples of Tzeentch do I get the sub faction rules from both books one book or?

Also when it comes to if I wanted to have allies say like Beastmen in that case I do not get any subfaction or faction rules right?

Thanks

Yes, you can only run the book as a single allegiance. If you run as Maggotkin, you lose all Slaves to Darkness rules but get Maggotkin rules.
You only get subfaction rules from the allegiance that subfaction is a part of. Allies do not gain subfaction or faction rules, but Beastmen have battalions that give them marks that let them be run as <GOD> units in say Maggotkin. I am actually not sure if that gives them Maggotkin allegiance bonuses - somebody else will have to clear that up.

Maggotkin is based on the NURGLE keyword--if the unit has that they are part of the allegiance. So if you have a Pestilent Thong battalion you can use that in a Maggotkin army.

So if I take Nurgle Chaos Warriors in Maggotkin they do not have the mark rules from the Slaves to Darknessbook so the exploding dice when near the leader with matching mark?

They do not. Those rules come from the Slaves to Darkness allegiance and you lose all of that to use the Maggotkin rules. Basically, you only get one battletome for allegiance abilities. Some armies can use units from another battletome, but never allegiance abilities from more than one 'tome.

That is very interesting, so basically the Nurgle Chaos Warrior in Slaves to Darkness is more unique and Nurgle like than the Nurgle Chaos Warrior in Maggotkin.

Thanks for the answers

It would come down to if one considers the locus of Nurgle buff to be more unique and Nurgle-ey than the cycle buffs from Maggotkin.

So I have kind of the same question, I just want complete clarity! I want to run Hedonites of Slaanesh. They do not have a Daemon Prince. I ally in a Daemon Prince. I can give him the mark of Slaanesh correct? And then would he be able to benefit from the Hedonites of Slaanesh Allegiance abilities or would he just be a Daemon Prince with a mark, but doesn't get to use the mark foe anything? Same thing with Marauders? Any help is appreciated.

If you are playing Hedonites, any slaanesh marked unit benefits. This includes any Slaves units that can take marks. Slaanesh maruaders are some of the best units we got.

Nearly 3k+ points of Slaanesh (AoS)
2500 points of Ironjawz
Too many points of Space Marines.

And I can only ally in 400 pts worth of mortals and/or beasts in to my Hedonites correct?

If it has the mark of Slaanesh it is not an ally; it is part of the main army.

Thanks Guys! and my last question and I'm going to make sure its the last, where would I find the rules for this?? I figured from the battle reps I've watched, that morals could be brought in. But I could never find it in the rules!
